Mana had fallen asleep for a while after she returned, Gods don't get tired physically but mentally. When she woke up, she grabbed the two books she had taken out. Although one had been tossed into the fountain, its remained in its pristine shape without a single hit of it being wet. Mana walked into the heart.
She signed after placing the two books back into the heart's library — her eyes reflecting a reddish hue this time. She wondered where she should go next.
"What are you looking to going next, Mother?"
Mana turned around to see that Chrysanthemum is walking toward her with a stack of books held carefully in her hand.
Chrysanthemum the goddess of fate, she was once a simple girl who loved to read stories and always wishing she could be those characters in the books she read. Her trial leads her to experience the lives of the villains of all the stories she read and change their fates. In the end, she made her decision to stay by the fountain of rebirth to give the unfortunate a chance at rebirth and a way to change their fate.
She liked to be called Chris as that was the nickname her father always called her.
"I don't know" she smiled "Taking a break."
"Yes, I wanted to read just for a little bit," Chris said softly
"I see"
"Mother I was wondering"
"Mm"
"Can you go here next time" Chris handed her a book with her free hand "I like this story, but some decisions made by the main character is…" The girl paused as she looked for the right words to say.
Mana took the book and looked back at her daughter carefully "You could have always pull strings to change them."
"Oh, No, it needs a personal touch."
Mana smiled and laughed "Oh, I see," she had fully understood what her daughter wanted as Chrys had put all the books in her hands back as she followed her mother back to the fountain area.
When Chris was beside her she grabbed the girls' hand and smiled as she. Mana tossed the book towards the glowing Ord that absorbed. Mana pulled Chris' hand and led her into the fountain. She smiled brightly as the orb changed into a podium. Chris looked back at her mother nervously while Mana just nodded her head, sitting down on the edge of the fountain "Go on, I'll be right here" she said
Chris nodded her head as she placed her hand on the book. It vibrated and then a bright light covers her whole.
Mana saw her daughter transverse the podium still in its place as she thought about the story Chris wanted to go into.
Winter was about a young single mother named Rose. Rose was once adopted by wealthy parents who couldn't have children. However, she became the target of kidnappers who beat her for days and then stabbed her and threw her body into a river, when they found out her parents died in a car accident on, they were on their way to pay for her ransom.
Rose was then saved by her biological mother, Ashlyn, that turned out to be a big-time mafia boss. Although her mother cherished her. Rose didn't like the cruelty of her mother's actions towards others. She eventually left her mother and came into contact with her biological father's brother.
Mana could see why her daughter didn't like the choices of the main character who was hopelessly naive and fell for a lot of small tricks because the main character ended up dying due to her own stupid decisions leaving her Son Winter to be raised by the Mafia grandma. Although, Winter, in the end, did get some sweet revenge for her in the end.
Her eyes sparkled as she was curious as to how Chris wanted to change things.
