The time had come. The inevitable time had come. As much as Kiko wished she could just walk away and say that she had something to attend to, she just didn't have the heart to do such a thing. On the other hand, Jun could hardly contain his excitement. But no one noticed, which he was very relieved to see. If someone noticed his childlike excitement then he would be very embarrassed and a tad bit ashamed.
Kiko was a bit confused as to why her heart was beating so fast. All she was doing was showing a new coworker around the office. Who just so happened to be very handsome and easy to talk to despite his cold appearance. She was only a bit confused so she decided to just shake it off for now. She had a job to do! And she wasn't gonna mess it up just because her heart was beating faster than usual.
Okay, she tried to shake it off. But how do you just forgot about the sound of your own heart practically beating out of your chest? Kiko had five more minutes to sort everything out before she had to give Jun a tour of their office building so she tried to use that time wisely by thinking about very professional things... like how good Jun would probably look like in a tuxedo.
'darn it! why can't I think straight??? but Jun would probably look really good in anything he wore- STOP IT KIKO!' Kiko blushed at her silly thought before realising that Jun was standing right in front of her. With the cutest smile, she had ever seen plastered sweetly on his face.
'Gosh, why is he so good looking? I feel like I'm gonna melt'
"Ah, Jun! you're here!" Kiko quickly said ignoring her unreasonably loud heartbeat.
" t-Thank you again S-Suzuki, for taking your time to show m-me around the office building, I-I hope I'm not taking your t-time" Jun stuttered, he was a bit flustered after being caught staring at her with such a weird face.
"oh please, the only thing I do on my lunch breaks is eat lunch by myself, so I appreciate the time we spend together, it's better then being alone even if it's only a one-off time that we spend time together" Kiko reassured
"it doesn't have to be a one-off thing" Jun mumbled to himself
"what was that?" Kiko questioned
"N-nothing! nothing at all!! " Jun stuttered out rather quickly
N/A ok hi, I'm the author of this novel, it's been almost 2 years since this has last been updated and at this point, I don't really like the story but I feel like posting what I have of this chapter anyways.
