Prologue: Shivers in the Cold Night

The cold night that marked the beginning of November welcomed the man with open arms. He stood in a dark alley, waiting. The fog was getting thicker into the depths of the night. He had been called out late into the night. An unexpected call, from an unfamiliar voice. He checked his watch again to make sure he was right on time. Still 5 minutes to go. He let out a deep sigh. This was getting tiresome. He pulled out a packet of cigarettes and before he could light it up he heard footsteps stop nearby. He looked over his right to see a hooded figure stand about 5 meters away from him.

"Well now, I thought you'd never arrive" he smirked as he carefully placed the cigarette back in the packet.

The figure did not respond.

"A shy one huh? To what pleasure do I owe you at this time of the night eh?"

The figure pulled out an envelope from within its robes. It seemed so cold and dark that the man thought it might as well been the angel of Death.

He took the envelope from the figure, carefully trying to peek what was under the hood, but the figure had been on defense and from what he could tell, there was a gun hidden under those robes.

'Yikes. Someone's on guard' he giggled to himself.

He pulled the documents from inside the envelope. There was a picture of a man, he could not figure out his face perfectly since it was so dark.

"Handsome guy huh? Sorry but I don't do guys" he giggled again. But it seemed as though he might be talking to himself, the figure didn't respond to anything he did, it only remained on guard.

Then slowly the figure pointed at the face on the picture.

"Kill him" it said in a deeply unrecognizable voice.

To this the man smiled. "How much?" he asked casually.

"500 grand" The figure replied.

"Roger that" the man replied completely satisfied.

The cold bit him. And his expression twisted into a dark expression as he disappeared into the night.
