Chapter 1 - unknown planet? (1)

"Being a woman by itself is a gift of God which all of us must appreciate. The origin of a child is a mother, and is a woman. A woman is the one who shares love and shows a man what sharing, caring, and loving is all about. That is the essence of a woman." - Zamia Sen's final answer at the 2204 Intergalactic Miss Universe contest.

On this day, May 21 in the year 2204, Zamia Sen made history when she became the first woman from earth to win the first Intergalactic Miss Universe title. At that time Sen was only 17 years-old.

Zamia had a bright, clever personality. Shrewdness was in her blood. She wasn't a genius nevertheless she the fire to achieve so. If she had one thing set in her mind, she would execute it at any cost. She had the will-power and patience for it even if it take years.

However, she is just a human not machine. Toiling every hour, doing nothing but work would make the passion fade away leaving behind a boring strained life. What would be the difference between her and a slave then?

And what bought stimulus in her life was yaoi. The ever so captivating novels and manga had her heart in the palm of their hands.

Though there was no gender barrier now, people still preferred living a life of a male and female together like how the ancients lived.

But Earth wasn't like the ancient one anymore, here people cared for environment more than life itself. The heavy blow after the third world war had opened the eyes of millions. Death, war, global warming, people had all of it. They wanted to change for better and they did though it took hundred of years to happen.

It was the vivian era, the era of life. Technology and mentally both were on the right track. Earth was categorised as a A class planet, lethal yet friendly. Other life forms were found just two hundred years ago when a man called Amir was separated from his team mates on the mission to check surrounding of roov, a planet having similar properties to that of Earth.

From then Earth and the outer life forms were brought to contact. The intelligent species there were somewhere just like plants, the only difference was they walked and talked.

And when looking at the present earth its beauty was enough to mesmerise them, which somehow brought both planets to alliance. Roov was a S class planet, one you don't want to get in trouble with. Thus began the journey of earth interacting with Intergalactic people.

Sen was a orphan, at the age of 7 her parents died in space exploration, only a year after that was she adopted and became the sole daughter of Jacob and Mark Sen, the presidents of Jacmar, a health care company.

It was her dream to wear a crown after when she saw a documentary of ancients. The savvy and witty answers, the beauty all enchanted the little Zamia to aspire more.

It was 2204 by earth's calendar and this was the year intergalactic miss universe was taking place.

Zamia stood on the platform with her head high. Her belief in her abilities was apparent in those beautiful dark orbs, they shone with confidence bewitching people with its luster. Her stance, her posture all portrayed one thing 'strength'. She was a dazzling sun dispersing darkness with its warmth, truly a captivating beauty.

The way she presented herself already won the hearts of many where as with her ability to make good judgments, it was obvious the outcome was in her favour.

Wearing the crown, Zamia beamed a heartfelt smile towards everyone. With her eyes squinted as her lips formed a beautiful arc upwards it brightened the surrounding, it was as if a child finally got the toy he was anticipating for. Pure. Although many were envious after interacting with her it would be a lie if they said they weren't happy for her.

Inside the spaceship,

Zamia stood in front of a big screen. Rubbing the bridge of her nose, her eyebrows scrunched together for what the screen showed were people of different kinds, 2 men a little over forty, a plant giggling and a blue humanoid creature.

This is her family.

Watching men bickering as her best friend enjoys it from sidelines along with a smirk on her face, she sighed not knowing whether to laugh or cry, a wry smile took over her face.

'What a crazy bunch'

She clapped her hands in attempt to gather their attention, seeing this not working her eyebrows twitched, again she tried. Failure. With a forehead full of black lines she uttered in a sweet voice,

"It would be very delightful if you could keep your voices to your beautiful selves lest you may never be able to use them again, obviously from overuse." It sounded so soothing that the words seemed to be dipped in honey but only the people in screen knew how poisonous this honey was.

The sarcasm was clear.

A Complete silence, every person in there shared a look of fear.

Only after a few minutes passed did they woke up from their trance. Giving a awkward laugh Jacob tried soothing the atmosphere, while showing harmony other also painted a sweet genuine smile on their faces as if what what happened earlier was an illusion.

Lifting an eyebrow Zamia thought she could never get bored of this drama.

Truly,

'A crazy dramatic family', a family she loves, she added.

"Congratulations dear we knew you could do it. People are waiting for you at Earth, we are proud of you." Jacob said, his mouth still having a upward arc.

"There was no chance she won't be able to, whose disciple is she?" The blue woman butted in between with her chest out as she winked at Zamia.

"Thats why it took her 3 whole damn years, if she was with me whole time, i bet she would've won thousand time." Her best friend karia, the roovian said to Amin.

"As if i would let that happen sweetie, to let my brilliant disciple drown in mud. Ridiculous" Amin rebuked with a sharp glint in her eyes as she glared at Karia.

" A beautiful lotus can only grow in mud" Karia counter attacked, she would never be a person to get a short end of the stick, never taking a humiliation with her hands open.

"So you agree you are same as mud"

And so do Amin, never at the short end of the stick.

" i won't repeat myself again." Zamia said.

This time it was Jacob and Mark laughing in schadenfreude.

Zamia lifted a eyebrow, thinking,

What am i a babysitter, a zookeeper?

She finally understood why her relatives said wherever the group go or whenever they get together, its like a storm coming.

It was as if watching a circus with animals on fire.

Sen rubbed her temples as she ordered a cup of coffee. She smiled despite getting irritated.

'Atleast i have a family now', but it was unknown to her that later somewhere in future she would be crying as it was going to be the last time she was seeing her family.

Holding a cup of coffee in one hand, she dragged a near by chair closer to her with other. Sinking in the softness of cushion. She was in much more comfortable position now. Enjoying the ease she decided to ignore her pact members, they would start again even if she stopped them. She was neither in mood to irritate herself nor she was fool to waste her energy in front of fools.

If others heard what she said, their only reaction would be rolling eyes, she was clearly the oddest and weirdest one out there, who says who.

In this family no one admits their own fault.

\(> o <)/

Gradually they all calmed down as they finally realised their purpose.

"Hmm..finally remembered me huh?" Zamia said clearly amused from their varying expression.

She was unquestionably immuned to this yet she could never stop herself from smiling at these stupid beings. 10 years living together in same circumstances yet they never cease to entertain her.

Giggling at her own expense kiara transported a gift to her, the gift was more like a bet, visibly in Zamia's favour.

"Here, now i don't own you one. We are equal so don't you dare bully my baby."

What baby! If that fifty year old dead cicada, decomposing day by day is a baby to you , then please die bachelor.

"I was not bullying it, i only wanted to move it courtyard" to bury it which was left unsaid lest her friend gets over her head yelling about its beauty.

" Aww come one you don't have to make that face i know you like it when smaller bugs crawl over it but just too shy to admit, don't worry we are family. Just be like your always self."

'Am i the only normal person in this bizzare family'

She can't even remember the countless time she said this line.

After that what she said Zamia didn't registered it as all her attention was grabbed by the thing in front of her, a bracelet. Not any ordinary bracelet but the one made from the bark of centipede tree that only grow on roov. A tree that defied the laws know to all, a prided treasure of roovians, with a reason as clear as a sunny day, every strip of its bark holds a little dimension of its own, big enough to fit to large villas. Its only disadvantage was that a single tree could only account upto 20 strips and would erode its surrounding after all 20 are taken. The eroding of soil is so bad that it takes million of year to recover giving a heart ache to nature loving roovians. Thus leading to its scare production, making them precious to intergalactic species.

And if you thought 'why not rob?' Then consider yourself a retard, if thinking of robbing a S class planet is not same as diving into fire just because you wanted warmth then it couldn't be anything less.

Therefore looking at the precious thing in her hand, even Zamia couldn't help laugh gleefully.

Just as she was humouring herself with the bracelet a ominous black mass was hovering over their ship unknoown to all, slowly enveloping the ship with its sinister dark aura.

🐰

Engulfed in darkness zamia was confused. She couldn't see a thing all that was in front of her was a space devoid of life and colour. Nobody was here she could sense it but something told her that she was in a dire situation. Her intuition was yelling that there was a sinister creature lying down low waiting for her to put her guard down, it was menacingly laughing in the darkest region, it was intimidating and threatening.

She was choking in the heavy ambience, it was unsettling and she knew she had to get out of here at any cost. It was as if inching closer and closer to her deepest fear as the time passed by all more of a reason for her to be out.

Her family, her friends she wanted to be with them. She finally got the crown she don't want to die yet, she wanted to celebrate with her family and her planet fellows.

She was enraged thinking that she couldn't enjoy the fruits of the labour. I won't die till i try. She knew it was playing with her mind and succumbing to it will be a win for the creature. She reasoned to herself what was she scared of? Family? Death? No she wasn't, her family, she knew it more than anyone how strong they are, the bond was still there which also proved that her family is alright and for the other, death?, it was a thing that everyone will experience eventually, there was no need to be scared of it, to many of us death brings a chill down our spine ridden with fear, but to others it is ridden with strength and satisfaction of accomplishment. Fortunately or unfortunately we are all condemned to death. However no one knows when exactly the inevitable will approach, but we all know it is inescapable.

So why was she panicking?

Was it because she's 17 there's still a lot in her life?, she was never a person to think like that, she lived the moment, the present, neither was she in past nor in future. She enjoyed every moment of her life as if she was born again, she would never regret because she always did what she wanted. There was no way she will ever succumb to the creature, she will get out,

"I want to get out", She yelled her body brimming with vigour there was no hesitation, she overcome the fear, the fear of unknown. Her body twinkled a bright light, all the negativity was thrown away, the sinister, menacing thing was gone, all what left was her glowing in bright light, her being drifted in light to somewhere safe, somewhere that resembled home.
