The make-up artist went inside, "Alright, our masterpiece, let's go."
Sheen giggled, "Alright, Maestro."
Everything was quiet. Not even a sound of gossiping bridesmaid can be heard.
"Oh, wait! The veil!" The makeup artist ran back.
"Veil?"
Nobody said anything and just waited for the veil.
"Alright, fix it," the make-up artist gave the veil to the hairdresser and arranged Sheen's hair.
"Hey... Wait," Sheen tried to stop them but they held her hands down, "Ohhhkay, this is weird. Are the other bridesmaid wearing a veil?"
"Yeah," The hairdresser smiled and pushed her to the lodge.
A sweet sound of violin and guitar can be heard as they near the lodge. Just outside, there's the wedding.
"Sheen...."
Sheen froze when she saw her parents standing before her, smiling.
The camera clicks to capture every expression by Sheen.
The hairdressers and the others left, leaving Sheen lost and surprised.
"Mom?" her voice trembles, "Dad?"
Her mom nodded as her tears fell, "You're beautiful," she said and hugged Sheen.
Her dad came and joined the hug as well, "We're happy for you, baby"
"What is happening?" Sheen asks while her Mom hands her a bouquet of pink and white roses.
"You're getting married!" Bea shouted followed by Elgeen and the other bridesmaid.
Sheen's eyes grew wide in surprise to see her bridesmaid.
"WHATTTTTTTTT?" A tear fell on her cheeks, thank god she's wearing waterproof make-ups.
She bit her lips, "What the hell are you guys doing to me?"
"Surprise!" Elgeen said and hugged Sheen.
"Congratulations, Sheen," Lucy said and hugged Sheen.
"Whatttttttttttttttttt." Sheen continuos to laugh and cry at the same time.
"This is why we are all busy. Why Clark said he's going out of town and such," Bea explained.
Cj and little Lizzy came to her.
"Woah." Cj paused and stared at Sheen, "You're very pretty, Mommy."
Sheen laughed, "Thank you, Cj."
Lizzy smiled at her and Sheen crouches to kiss her cheek, "Hi, Liz."
"You guys..." Sheen stands up and pouts, "This is so weird and unfair."
"What? You're getting married anyway," Lucy said.
Sheen took a deep breath, now she's feeling the nervousness she should've felt earlier.
"What if I say no?" Sheen jokingly asks.
Everyone stayed until she spoked, "Nah, just joking. How could I say no to Clark... I'm getting married to him, right?"
Everyone laughed, "No. You're going to get married to an old man that can't even see if you're a woman or not," Bea laughed.
Sheen pouted, she doesn't know what to feel. This is her first time to get married, and hopefully the last.
Should she cry now? Should she feel nervous and afraid? Should she feel the urge to run?
She never had a boyfriend before Clark. Everything's a first with Clark.
She wants to see him now. Ever since the surgery, she never had a proper conversation with him and now they're getting married.
Does she hate it? No. Everything's perfect with Clark.
She took a deep breath.
"Let's go," she said.
Everyone cheered and clapped, "But before that, let's take a picture!" Elgeen said and asked a photographer standing around them to take a picture.
Everyone smiled. This is it. The happy ending Sheen's been looking for.
This is the happiness she's been looking for.
Her mother fixed her veil over her face and hugged her one last time.
Everyone went to kiss and hug her, congratulating Sheen on her surprise wedding.
"This is the last day you're single," Bea teased before they all went to their places.
The others went out first to have a seat in the venue.
After a few minutes, she faced the long white carpet that leads to Clark.
The straight path in the middle of the forest made her heart race.
The high trees were taking her breath away. It's so beautiful.
The glass door opened before them, revealing Sheen and a few meters away, he can see Clark standing in the altar.
Her Dad kissed her and entangled her arms with his, "I'm happy for you, Sheen," he said and a tear fell from his eyes.
Sheen suddenly felt her eyes flooding again, "Thank you, Dad."
A song started playing (The Only One - Music Travel Love )
It's beautiful guitar playing, the sweet loving voice of the singer, everything crept into Sheen.
They started walking, and the moment her shoes landed on the white carpet, her lips curled up, revealing her most beautiful smile.
Her heart was in fear and in harmony, her mind's in peace and in worry, her eyes want to cry but she wants to see Clark clearly.
The cool forest breeze made her realize how beautiful and weird this day is.
She woke up not knowing this is her day. She went out of her condo not knowing she'll get married. She arrived here not knowing she'll leave as a missus.
Everyone looks at her in awe, the visitors which are mostly her co-workers and friends and her family can't help but smile as they watch her delicately walks towards the altar.
Clark... his elegant black suit, gorgeous slicked black hair and dazzling green eyes.
She laughed as her father gives her to Clark, they shook each other's hand.
"Make her happy," her father said.
Clark nodded and smiled, "Yes, Sir."
Sheen smiled at Clark, "This prank is not funny. Is this your way of punishing me for your birthday?" Sheen asks.
"Maybe," Clark replied as they stand on the altar.
Sheen was not even attentive to what was happening, she just kept taking glances of Clark. He's so handsome. How can she take him as hers? He's incredible. Beautiful. Brave. Smart. Kind. Lovely. He's...perfect.
"Do you take Clark Zeid White as your lawfully wedded husband?"
Sheen paused, wanting to tense Clark, but his smile just made her open her mouth, "I do."
"Do you take Sierra Haley Eureka Ellaine Neomi Verrez as your lawfully wedded wife?"
Sheen stared at Clark, his emerald eyes made her get lost in her thoughts.
"I do," Clark replied.
She remembered all the time they spent together when they were young when she saw him again in the company when she took care of him, when they were teased because of Cha's bridal gown, when he took care of him... everything just kept on flashing back.
It was then the time to say their vows.
Clark went on first. He smiled and held Sheen's hand tightly.
"I know, I wasn't able to be part of your past when you needed me the most. But I promise you, I will stay with you today and forever. When you need me, I'll hold your hand and walk with you. I'll listen to all your burdens and do my best to carry them with you. I'll do anything to keep you smiling. The stars may fade in the morning, but not my love. You can wish for anything and I promise, I'll grant them all. I'll be your paper, my dearest writer, tell me every word that comes through your mind, bleed on me and I promise I'll turn your ink into a beautiful story. I love you the most, Sierra Haley Eureka Ellaine Neomi Verrez."
With those beautiful words, Sheen went speechless.
She doesn't want to stop this moment, 'Did anyone recorded that?' she thought.
Her heart's full as her worries empties.
Sheen, who was brought here by a mere act, never prepared any vow.
"Uh..." Sheen smiled, "Okay, first off, I didn't know I was getting married."
Everyone laughed including Clark who's looking at her beautifully. Now that she stares at him, she can see a tear forming in his eyes.
He was able to control his feelings earlier, but now that he hears her voice, she can't help but melt.
He missed it. So much. It was the only thing he wants to hear when she was asleep for how many days.
"So... I'll do an improv. Dear Clark," Sheen chuckles and fingers Clark's hand, "I love you. You're the best thing that happened to me. You became my light, my strength, my happiness. You were my very first love, the very first person to make me feel happy to be alive. I know, I can't tell you right now how much I love you, but let me show it to you everyday. You're the missing piece in my puzzle, the one who completes me. No matter what darkness covers my sky, I know, you will always be there to stay with me. Thank you, Clark Zeid White. I love you."
With those words, they were locked in each other gaze until it was time to perform a ring exchange.
Clark took the ring, and smiled at Sheen, "Sheen, I give you this ring as a symbol of my unconditional love and promises. Let it be a reminder that I am always by your side and that I will always be grateful to be your husband."
Sheen nodded as her tears fall down, she took the ring and took a deep breath as it was her turn.
"Clark, since this ring is perfectly symmetrical, it signifies the perfection of true love. As I place it on your finger, I give you all that I am and ever hope to be."
Clark was shocked to hear those words from Sheen as she places the ring on his hand.
"I memorized it from a book," Sheen said.
"You may now kiss the bride."
Clark slowly lifts her veil, "You're beautiful, Sheen, so much," he said and they shared a sweet loving kiss.
Everyone clapped their hands.
Kady, who feels like crying chose to smile and clap the loudest.
Wyn, who felt happy that the two most important person in his life is happy, took a photo of them.
Everyone stands up in celebration of their wedding.
It's true, we may think we can never have happiness as life keeps on blocking our way, but there will always be surprises that happen.
No plans. No foreseeing. We just sometimes receive the things we need out of the blue.
All we need to do is keep on thriving. Keep on living. Keep on breathing. And keep on loving.
And someday, it'll all turn around, and it'll be your time to be happy.
