"So, you remembered him?"
They were on their way home.
Bea bought them hot coffee since the temperature suddenly dropped.
Sheen choose to walk with Bea than to be driven home.
"Yeah, that childhood friend I had," Sheen curses the weather report that said it will be hot until evening.
She didn't wear her v-neck blouse and kept on the blouse Mr. White gave.
At least her chest won't be freezing.
She rubs her arm while sipping her coffee.
"So, what do you think? Weren't you surprised?"
The street was busy with people on their way home.
It was the first time Sheen went around the city.
Even though they're on the way home, she can feel what this city is like.
It's alive, the lights from the buildings, and sounds from a different establishment.
"No, I mean. Yeah, maybe. I just remembered that when I was with CJ," she looks for a trash bin to throw the coffee cup.
"Yeah? he looks like him but they are very different. Clark was very nice to girls but CJ's like the devil! Sheen?"
Bea didn't notice that Sheen went to throw the cup while she was talking.
There are a lot of people passing by.
It was noisy.
She can't see where Sheen is.
Even if she shouts, there's no Sheen around.
"My gosh, I took a turn earlier! She might be there, where did she go?"
Bea started dialing Sheen's number while going back to where she last saw Sheen beside her.
Sheen, on the other hand, just threw the cup on an alley where there is trash.
But when she went out, Bea was not there.
Her eyes widen, she forgot that the streets are busy, and Bea won't be able to notice her going somewhere unlike in her city.
The streets from where she came from are silent and there are fewer people so you can easily notice the person you're with if they're going somewhere.
"Ah!" Her phone's battery's dead due to her taking photos around the building when she had her tour.
"What should I do?"
Sheen just stands there, suddenly the city became so wide in her eyes.
She feels like a child lost.
"I can't go around, I may even get lost more, should I just stand here? I will look like a stupid person if I did that. Maybe I should ask people where my condominium is but... I don't know the name of the building! AH!" She messes her hair.
"How can I be so stupid? Why didn't I check it?"
She just found herself standing in front of the Star Company since it was just near the place where she got lost.
"Is Mr. White still on his office?" Sheen asks the security roaming around.
"No, he went home a few minutes after you went out with Miss Bea," he answers.
"Do you know where the condominium of Mr. White is? I mean the name," the security grew suspicious of her question.
"I'm on the same condominium but I don't know what's the name or where it is, I... uh, I got lost," she blushes from the embarrassment.
"Oh, where is Miss Bea?"
"I lost her," she whispers.
The security tried to suppress his laugh and answers Sheen's question.
"Avenue Condominium at Cover Street, take a cab," he answers.
"Oh, okay, thank you," she was about to leave but she turned around and called the security.
"Can I borrow your phone? I will just call Bea to tell her I'm here."
The security took his phone and gave it to Sheen.
She told Bea that she's at the building, hoping Bea will get her but she was with Dan so she won't go back.
"Just take a cab!" Bea said before turning off the call.
Sheen gloomily returns the phone and said thanks before leaving.
"I should tell Boss, it's dangerous to take a cab at night," the security messages Mr. White what happened to Sheen before returning to his duty.
Sheen just stands on the street, afraid to take a cab because she heard the rumors about it.
One after another, girls who take a cab at night gets harassed or raped or even get killed.
"This is why I hate big cities, there are big crimes as well," she rubs her arms from the cold.
"Cover street? Bea, how can you forsake your cousin for a man?" she whispers.
She was staring at a convenient store in front of the building just across the street when she saw a familiar face.
Her gloomy face suddenly lights up.
She waves her hand and she feels like she's going to be saved from the apocalypse.
"Sir! Mr. White!" She waves her hand as Mr. White cross the street.
He got shocked to see Sheen after reading the text from the security.
"Sir!" She greeted.
Mr. White's carrying instant foods on his arm.
There are kiddy goods such as candies and junk foods as well.
"Why are you here? I thought you're leaving?"
Mr. White felt worried when he found out about Sheen.
"Uh, I lost Bea, I got lost," she bites her lips from the embarrassment.
"What? Then... go with us," Mr. White started to walk back to the building to the parking lot.
Sheen just follows happily.
"Hey, Clark! Did you miss me?"
Sheen just blurted out while remembering their childhood memories.
Mr. White stops from walking.
He's not used to people calling his first name, but somehow he felt nostalgic.
"Did you? Or you don't remember me?"
Sheen just thought about it, Mr. White might've forgotten about her.
Mr. White tried to cover his flushed face.
Good thing the lights on the parking lot are kind of dim.
"The past is past, I can't remember missing you,"
He tried to hide the truth but it came out harsh.
He was about to explain but Sheen just passed by him.
She was wearing a dead expression.
"CJ!" She calls, forming a smile and waving at Cj.
"Sheen, I didn't mean to say that. Ugh! Why do I suck at making a normal conversation?"
He follows Sheen who's already inside the car beside Cj who opened the door for her.
Mr. White was about to sit beside Mr. Rogers in the front seat but it was full of groceries that he asked Dan to buy during the lunch break since they were on a meeting.
He has no other choice but to sit with Sheen and Cj.
He went to the back and opened the door.
Sheen was on the right side of Cj so he went and sit on the left side.
For some reasons, Sheen and Cj were whispering at each other.
'Remember what I told you, don't call me mommy when he's here!'
'Yes, mommy!'
They both giggled and had their own conversation.
The car started to move and Mr. White still checks his e-mails without care around him.
He stared outside for a minute to refreshen his eyes.
'I will apologize to her later, I mean I didn't miss her during these days, I did when we were young, I even cried to get back to her. Of course, I will forget her. But now that I saw her, I missed the old days.'
He tried to comfort himself.
And when he turned to look at them, Cj's leaning on Sheen's arm and both of them are sleeping.
Sheen's hand was on Cj's head to support him.
For a moment, they look like mother and son.
But he shook his head.
He can't be thinking about Sheen like that.
Not because she's a childhood friend, he can fall for her.
She has her own life.
She might even have a boyfriend or a fiance with her age.
"Uh, I'm being delusional, I'm just a boss," he whispered before closing his eyes.
He then put his arm on Cj's leg to avoid him slipping off the seat.
Before waking them up, Mr. Rogers took a picture of them sleeping.
'They look like a family,' he said before calling Mr. White and Sheen.
"We're here," he said.
Sheen was the first to wake up.
She didn't get to see how they all look like and stretches her arms to wake her body from the nap.
"Thank you, Mr. Rogers," she said while Mr. White wakes up.
"I'll go first, thank you, Mr. White, for the ride," she went out of the car and entered the building.
She didn't even look at Mr. White but she has that emotionless tone.
As Cj was leaning on him and is avoiding to wake him up, Mr. White can't follow Sheen to apologize.
'I'll do it tomorrow,' he thought while slowly carrying CJ on his arms.
'Do you need a mom?' He thought while brushing off Cj's hair from his face.
Sheen looks grumpy so the staff didn't greet her.
She just went directly to her condominium and laid on the bean bag chair on the living room.
"I'm being delusional, why would he miss me? I kept my hopes up and got angry when he said he didn't miss me. He's my boss, how can I ask something like that?" She rubs her face on the chair.
"So I'm on a one-sided feeling again? I'm the only one who missed him then?"
She remembered how she cried days and nights when she found out that they moved away.
She didn't play with anyone until Kady and Blue arrived.
"I'm stupid," she sighs before taking a shower.
