Chapter 7 - The Comfort She Needs

"I'm your best friend Blue, respect me."

Kady took a step forward to Blue, looking at him with disappointment and anger, he asked his best friend, Blue for help while thinking that he will really give him a hand for Sheen.

"I did not do anything that I think disrespected you, Kady. Sheen's my friend too and I know that she hates you more than anything in this world."

Blue also took a step forward, there's only a foot between them, and they're both holding back from punching each other.

Sheen grew up with them, they are each other's best friend but ever since Sheen confessed to Kady, their bond broke.

Suddenly Wyn went between them, asking them to stop arguing when Blue eyed him angrily.

"I'm your boss, Wyn. Stop stealing what's mine," Blue said while grinding his teeth.

"Nope, she's my fiance already. You can't get her from me," he said while his hands are stretch to separate them between, Kady and Blue looked at each other and shouted at the same time.

"WHAT?"

Scaring him making him shout the same thing.

"What? She said yes to me, so she's mine!"

He said while taking a step back while Kady and Blue are walking towards him like they're ready to kill him.

"Guys, she's upset with whatever you did."

Wyn pointed at Kady who's left eyebrow is raised.

"I mean, I know Blue asked me to do that because he asked you to do that. So who's Sheen's real fiance? Isn't me, since she said yes to me?"

His finger that was pointed to Kady turned to himself.

"No, let's stop this. We'll stick to the plan. No one's going to tell her what is happening." Blue said while massaging his temples.

Kady then sighed while Wyn moved away from them.

"Okay, Blue ask her what's the matter, you're closer to her."

Kady said while taking his step towards his office, "I'd try. She looks so tired."

The silent halls that were listening to them suddenly got noisy when they realize that it's time to go home for everyone.

Little by little, everyone moved out of their offices and they also went on their own way.

Blue messaged Sheen but she did not reply, calling her was not even good since she turned her phone off.

Sheen, on the other hand, is sitting in the children's park behind their building.

None of her co-workers walk in that side of the building,

"Ugh, I'm tired."

She mutters while watching the children take their leave since the sun is almost out and it's too late for them to play outside.

She suddenly remembered things when she was just a child.

Since her family was not that rich unlike her other family relatives, she was expected to act a bit more mature and excel in everything she does.

Starting from her very first memory, she did great.

Her relatives become fond of her, she's first in everything she does which made her antisocial, avoiding every possible obstacle that can get in her way.

She used to see everyone as a competitor, making her unfriendly in everyone's eyes but she did have two friends that she forcibly grew up with because they are her relative's friend's children and she needs to have a connection with rich families.

Since she became her relative's favorite, her family's life becomes a little more comfortable.

Her father got into their relative's company with a high salary, they got a very nice house, and she graduated from a prestigious school in high school.

During her first semester in college, it became a little hard for her. She found her addiction, reading novels.

Also, she became more close to her two friends, Kady and Blue.

They protect her from bullies and other things that a lady needs to be protected from.

While acing everything she does, she also had time to write her own novel while having fun with her friends.

She did a good job balancing it out until she developed a romantic feeling for Kady, that's where everything messed up.

Her relatives were against her feelings, judging what she feels.

They called her every mean thing that a woman can hear just because she confessed.

Telling her she will ruin their families tie with Kady's family and it did, Kady moved away while his parents cut every connection they had with her relatives.

After that, she hated Kady with all her life.

He ruined her family, he broke her heart, he messed her up.

Even though her relatives did cut every support they gave to them, she managed to finish her degree and even got two awards for her novel.

She remembered how she bid her farewell to Kady that day, she hates him but her tears were unstoppable since she thought that he will never come back again yet after five years he became the President of the company she's working on.

She laughs while remembering how her relatives embarrass her in front of her parents just because she loved someone that was meant to be used for their own selfishness.

"Hey, what's funny?"

A voice behind her asked.

She tilted her head to see that it was Wyn.

Her eyes almost bulged out and she took her bag and was ready to run when Wyn took her hand, making her stop and look at him.

"God, he'll shout at me. He'll call me a flirt," was the only thought that circles her but he smiled.

A concerned smile.

Then asks, "Are you alright?"

His grip tightens but not that it will hurt her, it was warm.

The light of the city with the ray of the sleeping sun made his face look the most comforting thing she will ever lay her eyes on.

"I just want someone who will tell me that everything's going to be alright," she thought.

She wants him to hear that but it will only mean that she's weak.

So she just smiled and nodded while thinking,

"You look comforting enough."

They had their own conversation of what happened, and to her surprise, she let everything out.

Starting from when she saw him, until to what happened between her and Kady.

Even her side comments were heard by him.

She was looking at her leg while holding her bag tight, ready for an insult but he just sighed.

"You must have it hard then," he said which made her look at him who's looking at nowhere.

The light in the park are all turned on, it looks perfect for the way she feels.

It's not that dark but it's not that bright.

It just makes everything insightful.

"Wyn looks photographically beautiful," she thought.

She took her phone and took a picture of him.

Now there's no flash so he did not notice,

"Don't worry everything will be alright," he said while looking at her.

Hearing this, she looked at him with teary eyes and amazed eyes.

He just laughs, "She must've needed that," he thought.

Knowing how it feels, he patted her head while smiling purely.

"We were supposed to meet each other in your house, but while I was on my way, I saw you. So, let me give you a ride."

He stands up while holding one of Sheen's hands but she did not stand up making him stop,

"Don't you have anything to say about what I did?" she asks, while they are looking at each other.

"No, I just want you to choose carefully for your male lead character in your own love story."
