Drowning in her own pool of determination, she forgot there was anyone standing in front of her! When she remembered the man was still there she quickly snapped out of it. Not knowing how to explain herself, she kept still on the bed and stared into the man's eyes awkwardly.
On the other hand, the man was dumbfounded.

"You...you did not become mental did you?"
"No...w-water please?"
Fetching the same maid who went back to her work, the glass of water was quickly given to her in a matter of seconds. How efficient!
Gulping down every single drop, her eyes finally brightened up into large, beautiful eyes. If her original pupils seemed dull and boring, her pupils that now seemed dark yet transparent at the same time were mesmerizing and would pull anyone into the abyss inside. Only when she blinked did the man snap out of his trance.
Blushing, he asked once more "What were you doing on the highway? How might I address you, miss?"
"Mei Ling", a less raspy voice replied.
However, once she gave her name, she came into a daze. What was she doing on the highway?
Searching deep inside the original owner of her body's memories, she realized that the original owner was also called Mei Ling!
The original Mei Ling was pitiful. She never met her parents once, and was dropped in front of an orphanage thus making her an orphan. She first lived in the orphanage until she was sent to her first foster home at age seven. However, she kept moving back and forth into many foster families. Each foster home did not care about her well-being at all! All of them would not give her any food resulting in her always taking the leftovers. When she refused to do all the handiwork, she would get kicked out and sent to another foster home.
When she got tired of this repeated cycle, she ran away from the orphanage after they tried sending her to a faraway foster family.
She became...homeless...and barely got a piece of bread each day.
In the midst of begging a lady for change,a nearby man whom worked at the orphanage recognized her! Being chased all the way onto a highway...she...also got hit by a truck!?
Both the original and current Mei Ling died being hit by a truck?!
