The vehicle that brought Dana finally arrived in the city.
The driver stopped the car near the public park, he helped the woman carry her heavy backpack. "I will carry the bag for you, just walk ahead I will follow you," he said.
"Thank you," Dana murmured.
Wow! It's good to be out in the open, after a long time staying in the same place for many months, she's free as a bird again! She looked around the park, under the shade of the trees. She saw the one person she was looking for, her friend, the street vendor. "That's my friend over there!" she pointed at the woman selling assorted goods like candies, cigarettes, junk foods, and others, sitting on a plastic chair under the shade of a mahogany tree.
Dana walked excitedly towards her friend. "Josie, am back!" she smiled at her friend glad to see a familiar face again.
Josie's face brightened up. "Miss Dana Bayugan! Long-time no see! Where have you been?"
