John and Caroline were in the living room having a conversation about Joseph.
"Anna told me that you had a heated argument with my brother last night? Caroline, is it true?" John asked.
Caroline breathed deeply, she'd rather keep quiet about it, unfortunately, she failed to warn Anna that what she heard last night should never reach John. She doesn't want the brothers to have a rift just because of her. John's family just comes back from the US and it's not a pleasant situation for everyone involved.
"It's just a friendly banter between me and Joseph, Brother John. Please don't worry about it," she replied.
"Don't lie to me, Caroline. Based on Anna's report it's far from a friendly conversation, you two shouted at each other. I can't tolerate arguments in my home. I want to know what you two are arguing about? Did he insult you?" he asked because he knew his brother so well better than anyone else.
