Chapter 153 - Your Situation

As the conversation progress, Han Meixiu found out that Major Li was actually assigned to guard Mr. Di.

As for what reason, Han Meixiu wasn't interested. The more the men continued their conversation the more her own mind wondered around the place.

Her attention was caught again when she heard her name.

She blankly stared at her father in law in confusion before she moved her gaze to the other men inside.

Mr. Di was sitting almost opposite her smiled gently before speaking again.

"I would like to talk to her in private."

Major Li who was still standing not too far from them was somewhat against it. Mr. Di wasn't in a position to ask that kind of request.

"It's important to establish a good relationship in order for me to start the process. I can't directly ''cure' her if she's uncomfortable. What I needed is her serene and clear mind." Mr. Di continued.

The explanation was somewhat acceptable. With the three of them inside, it would be difficult for Han Meixiu to feel at ease.

"Well then, we just need to wait outside." Sigma said and went out. He also wanted to talk to the other men without Mr. Di around. He wanted to clarify somethings.

Mr. Liu followed shortly after having a brief eye contact with the young woman giving her an assuring look.

Major Li was the last one to leave but before he did he looked at Mr. Di as if giving him a warning not to do anything that's not part of their agreement.

When it was only the two of them left, Mr. Di softly spoke.

"Han Meixiu, right?"

The young woman nodded. The comfortable silence made her feel relax. Indeed, without those somewhat intimidating men, she felt calmer.

Mr. Di thought for a while before uttering his question.

"Do you want to have a deal with me?" Mr. Di carefully asked. His voice was calming encouraging her to put her guard down.

Han Meixiu didn't answer right away. She looked questioningly at the man who was holding a smile. It wasn't a smile that was meant to fool someone. But the question made her extra cautious and curious at the same time.

"What kind of deal?"

"It's simple." He answered shortly.

He looked at the young woman. There was a subtle trace of sympathy reflecting on his eyes.

'Is my condition hopeless?' Han Meixiu thought when saw his reaction. She started to get worried.

It was only after sometime that Mr. Di continued speaking.

"After you recall your memories, I want you to answer my questions."

'So I'm not hopeless. But why did he look like that?' Han Meixiu concluded after hearing the man. She then continued to ask.

"What questions?"

"You'll know soon. Shall we start?" He simply answered.

For Han Meixiu, the man's answer didn't set well on her mind.

"I want to know what are those questions." She said as she held a firm gaze towards the man. She wouldn't just agree to something she's not even sure if it could benefit or harm her or the Liu Family.

The smile of the man deepened. Mr. Di reminded her of her father.

"It's about some people you know. Don't worry, if you answer my questions, you won't be harming yourself nor the Liu Family." Mr Di answered making the younger woman sighed in relief.

Mr. Di knew what she was worried about. Her reaction was like an open book to him.

"Alright. Then we can start." Han Meixiu said.

Outside the hut, Sigma spoke.

"Can we really trust that man?"

"He is actually an excellent psychiatrist and his methods were indeed effective. Although he used it selfishly and harmed people in the past." Mr. Liu answered as he maintained his gaze int he entrance of the hut while he took his steps slower than usual.

"We have an agreement. He wouldn't do unnecessary things to Han Meixiu." Major Li firmly said.

"I also don't think he will harm my daughter in law."

"You're right since she's Han Yun Xiang's daughter." Sigma said as he nodded his head. "What I just don't understand was, why would he let himself be captured? He's been hiding for so many years."

"For safety, I guess. Since we need him for an investigation, he could prolong his life by being confined here rather than in his own place." Major Li answered.

"So, they're hunting him?" Sigma wanted to clarify. He's actually nor too familiar with the entire case involving Mr. Di. He only began to understand how complicated the case when the man was moved to this camp to be monitored closely by this young general.

Although it would be better to confine the man in a closed-tight 'prison', they chose this place instead.

The reason was simple. Nobody would expect that someone as important as Mr. Di would be here. As for escaping, unless that man would know how to fly, he could really get out of here unscathed.

Mr. Liu who was one of the very few people that had direct clash with black.com in the past was their constant visitor.

"They always hunt those people who deflected." Mr. Liu simply answered retracting his gaze from the hut and moving it to the young major in front of him. "I hope they won't visit him here."

Major Li understood that Liu's family head wanted to guarantee the safety of his daughter in law while being with Mr. Di.

"That man is wise. It would take time for them to find out that he's here. He arranged a dummy in his place and erased all his medical records. Thus even if they would kill that dummy, they couldn't confirm if it's him easily."

Sigma couldn't stop himself from admiring Mr. Di. There were indeed people like this. He's used to uncomplicated cases that could be solved immediately. He's been confined in this training ground for quite sometime after his injury decades ago.

Mr. Liu was seemingly pleased. It was expected. Since Mr. Di was called a single letter in the past in that organization.

He remembered the first time he met him, he was looking for people to cure his wife. Since Mr. Di was pretty famous, he invited him.

The treatment he conducted was actually effective until Mr. Liu found out he's one of them. When he was ready to confront the man, he disappeared without a trace leaving only a message on how to continue Madam Liu's treatment.

The man didn't mean any harm but since Mr. Liu was still enrage by what happened to his wife, he couldn't see that 'good' intention, if it was really good.

The topic of their conversation then drifted from Mr. Di to the issues involving the entire training camp. Most of the time, only Sigma and Mr. Liu exchanged words. Major Li was simply nodding and constantly looking at the entrance of the hut.

After about half an hour, when all the three men immersed in their own thoughts, only the sounds of birds chirping and the gentle swaying of the tree leaves created by the subtle wind could be heard.

"I believe a single meeting wouldn't enough for her treatment." Major Li said breaking the silence. He just saw the young woman exited the hut.

"He wanted to talk to father in law." Han Meixiu said.

Mr. Liu followed the young woman back to the hut.
