Two days before they would leave Q City and return to K Country, Han Meixiu was summoned to the study. Though she was puzzled why suddenly she was called, she obediently followed Ye Ming. She knew that both Mr. Liu and Liu Zijian were in there.
"The young mistress is here." Ye Ming said as he knocked on the door. Behind him was Han Meixiu still in the midst of thinking of the reason why she was asked to go in the study.
It was Liu Zijian who opened the door.
When both of them came inside the room, Mr. Liu spoke.
"Sit down both of you."
Han Meixiu was a little nervous. She has minimal contact with Mr. Liu if Madam Liu wasn't around. In those times, she's actually very cautious and tense.
"You want to know the reason why your father left Han Family?"
"Yes."
Her grip on Liu Zijian hand became tighter as if she's getting some courage from him.
Liu Zijian returned her actions by doing the same.
If an outsider could see the set up in that moment, he would think the two young couple was being reprimanded for doing something naughty by their guardian or the two were asking for a blessing from someone who was against their relationship.
But clearly it wasn't the case.
"How can I be sure that you can be trusted?"
"Dad!" Liu Zijian didn't like the question his father asked. Han Meixiu is his wife. Why would a 'trust' issue come up?
Mr. Liu glanced at his son quickly as if telling him not to over react and to calm himself.
Han Meixiu on the other hand became increasingly nervous. Why her father in law suddenly became somewhat hostile? Did her father do something to the Liu Family?
Mr. Liu who was observing the young couple realized that his son was ready to actually retaliate against him if he would 'offend' his wife. He wanted to commend him actually for growing up this way despite his circumstances in the past.
But he wanted an assurance from his daughter in law since the topic would be sensitive.
"Women tend to change their minds often. I just want to know if you can stick to your words to accept and keep the information within yourself even after learning it."
"I vouch for her. If…"
"I can be trusted. I won't spill even a very small detail to anyone." She interrupted her husband and pressed his hand giving him an assurance that she's fine.
"The truth might harm you. Can you go against your own parents?" Mr. Liu continued. His voice was coated with a challenging tone.
Her brain suddenly blanked out. When she heard the word 'against your own parents'; her mind froze.
It was just recently when she was worried that she might be against her best friend in the future as her parents were basically law violators. Now, they're also against the Liu Family?
She lowered her head after quite some time. It was clear she didn't know how to answer or more precisely what would be the appropriate answer.
"Two weeks from now I'll be visiting K Country. Give me your answer by then." Mr. Liu said and he left the room.
Liu Zijian worriedly looked at her. He wanted to tell her everything but it's not his personal secret and the three men were bounded by a promise to share the details to others aside from themselves only if all of them would agree.
"Don't rush and force yourself to think."
Han Meixiu wanted to answer 'it's easier said than done,' but she couldn't find her voice. She just gently nodded.
"Two weeks from now, there would be a business summit in K Country. All of us will attend. Do you want to come along?"
Han Meixiu pondered for a while before she positively answered.

K Country 17th Business Summit is a highly anticipated 3-day event being held in the biggest and grandest exhibition and convention center of the country, K-EX Center. It's located slightly outside the main city but majority of the hotels were already fully booked even before the event would take place.
It is actually hold every five years and participants are coming from all over the world.
They either want to invest in K Country or want to get investors from their own respective countries. They're also composed of not just businessmen but also political figures and influential families.
Han Meixiu who was wearing elegantly a light grey pencil cut one piece dress with a thin black belt, seemed to be nervous. Not because they're attending the final day of the summit but because tonight she would give her answer to her father in law.
Liu Zijian who was wearing his usual outfit called her attention. They're now on their way to the closing ceremony of the event.
Although Liu Zijian attended some of the significant parts of the summit for the past few days, Han Meixiu stayed at home pondering on what she's going to choose.
She didn't tell Liu ZIjian her decision. Her husband also didn't ask. It was as if they have a tacit understanding that whatever it is, they have each other's back.
There were total of three main entrances in the venue of the event. Liu Zijian and Han Meixiu chose the least crowded one which was the left entrance located near the vast parking lot.
From a distance, there was a group of people seemingly hiding under the darkness of the night. They have a mission for tonight. They were composed of two women and two men. They're just waiting for the right timing to sneak in.
"Do you think we can get it?" The shorter woman asked her companions. Among the four of them she's the one who's the most worried.
The taller woman who was leaning on the tree didn't answer her question. She was calmly observing the surrounding. There's only one thing on her mind, they should be successful – no matter what.
The two men who were sitting on top of the tree cladded in black outfit didn't also react. The last thing they wanted was a negative energy. They were actually thinking how did this woman passed all the 'tests' when she's so coward.
