Roar
The Green Beast Mountain's was full of ferocious roar coming from the magical beast that was being hunted by the enrollees of the Black Turquoise Academy and the Dual Dragon School. The first trial was to hunt down magical beast and take their spirit core after all.
Dean and To-qe move together and wandered in the mountains, they could constantly hear the roars and screams of magical beasts and fellow humans coming from afar. Since they had left the safe zone they still had not met any magical beast even if they found one it would be already being hunted by the others.
Stopping on a tree Dean took out a piece of paper from his sleeves and said to To-qe "To-qe we should probably split up now, I need to hunt specific magical beasts there's a possibility of me being unable to make it to pass the first trial because of it so we better take out own paths here."
Reading the piece of paper that was given to him by Gilet the two days ago Dean finally understood what the list of magical beast's spirit core meant. Dean was ordered to get those spirit cores in the day of the trial, Gilet said that it was a part of his training in order to have a better control of his heavenly qi.
A strange look appeared on To-qe's face like it was saying ---- Is that so. ----, To-qe puffed his chest and said proudly "Don't take me lightly Dean, I already told you that you and I should stock together, you and I had already formed a brother, I will help you with what you need and passed this trial without any problems."
In the back of his head Dean was thinking ---- when did we form that deep of a relation that we became brothers? ---- But despite this thought he's still happy to hear what To-qe had said about having a brotherhood "I won't stop you but think about it you might fail this trial because of this."
"Don't worry about it, I already told you that I'm a genius so making a little detour is easy for me and I will still be able to make it, besides we can kill magical beasts if we see one, don't think about it that much." To-qe burst with his usual hearty laughed.
"You're right, we can go and make simple kills when we have time. If we're going to stick together we should get going now." Dean didn't reject the idea of getting help from him, even though the hunting list is made for him Gilet didn't say anything about not being able to get help.
The 2 of them looked at each other's eyes were blazing with the flame of youth they then straighten their bodies and went deeper in the mountain. The 2 move with high speed and before long both of their silhouettes started becoming blurry as they gain momentum.
With wind blowing on their faces To-qe suddenly through a leather bag to him and said "I took one for you when they were giving them out yesterday, the point list is already inside check it out so we can decide what we should hunt."
Dean opened the bag took the paper that was inside and started reading it, from top to bottom the least amount of points that you can get was the level 3 magical beasts with 50 points and the highest was a level nine magical beast's spirit core with 1000 points.
"Level 3 spirit core 50 points, Level 4 spirit core 100 points, Level 5 spirit core 200 points, Level 6 300 points, Level 7 500 points, Level 8 700 points, Level 9 1000 points. So what do you think we should target? A Level 3 magical beast or something higher?" To-ge asked.
"I don't know, but I first want to hunt a Level 3 magical beast to test my strength, this will be my first time fighting a magical beast so I want to gauge out my strength." Dean directed his gaze forward and started finding a magical beast.
To-qe was surprised hearing what Dean had just said, ---- He had not even fought with anyone and he's already trying to pass this trial? ---- An interested look appeared on To-qe's face then he said "So this iss your first time fighting? I won't be helping you this time around so do your best."
"Right." Dean answered back and tried circulating his heavenly qi and move forward, as he move forward he was also trying to find a magical beast he would be fighting. Then suddenly he stopped on a tree branch of the giant trees around them, in front of them was a sleeping magical beast.
"You're quite lucky Dean, that's a "Winged Wolf" and it seemed to be only at the 3rd level, it has a bloodline that can make them manipulate the air making their movements nimble and fast. A Winged Wolf like at this level don't have their innate abilities unlocked yet it should be a perfect opponent to gauge out your strength." Giving out an explanation To-qe sat on the tree branch and made himself comfortable to a certain extent.
Dean stared at the Winged Wolf and asked To-qe to confirm it "Is that really a Level 3 Winged Wolf? I need to fight it so make sure that you're right."
"Of course it is, are you doubting me? Look at its forehead there's the blood mark is still not present so I'm sure that it's a level 3 Winged Wolf." Feeling that he was being doubted he became slightly irritated as he answered back.
Dean descended down after checking that there really wasn't any blood mark on its forehead indicating that it's not at the 4th level.
