Charles' POV,
4 months. That's how long I've been hunting in and around Magadha with Rahaas.
60000. That's how many monsters I've killed in that time on a party with Rahaas.
4. That's how many levels I've gained in that time.
2. That's how many sword skills I've learnt in that time.
600. That's How much my elemental affinity has risen in that time.
0. That's how many quests we players have recieved in the same time frame.
3. That's how many meals we can afford on a weekly basis.
0. That's how many events have popped up since the Apocalypse.
18. That's how many free players exist in the northern part of India. The rest are all fugitives.
0. That's how many skirmishes that have occurred tween Gods and the demons. So much for the great event to happen.
Honestly, these past for months have been ridiculously hard on everyone. After the "Player's Mutiny" or the Apocalypse, the NPCs have been very suspicious and wary of the players. The number of friendly NPCs can be counted on two hands.
We players are always sold overpriced goods. Despite killing so many monsters, each monster gives very little or no meat to eat. We even tried to cook the monsters alive, but since then we discovered that you need advanced culinary skills to cook monster's meat. Even my sword skills are still intermediate, so cooking was out of the option. So we have to rely on the NPCs for food.
Due to all of this, a dungeon, is as close as we can ever get to the Holy Grail, Ambrosia, Nectar, Elixir, etc.
So I suppose you can understand my inhuman joy when I found an unguarded can't with immense loot.
So here we are, in front of the newly discovered cave system.
The cave is practically unguarded. I could waltz in to it and no one would stop me..... Or so it seems. All dungeons do.
"Rahaas, use your ability to scout the area ahead"
Rahaas sighs and says, "Fine. If I get killed for nothing you are gonna have to pay up for all this" he signed at all his equipment. Yeah, I'm never gonna pay for That.... Right now, it'd probably cost me my entire life a hundred times over and more.
"Yeah no... Leave the armor and go in!"
"#### you, you jerk! I ain't leaving my armor here. And you ARE paying for the armor, in case I lose it!"
"Yeah you won't die. Shadows can't die!"
"Tell that to the light!"
"Then let go of the armor!"
"#### you!" He sighed with mild annoyance and moved inside. The next few moments waiting for Rahaas were gruelling to say the least.
Then after an eternity, Rahaas popped out under me and said, "It's a legit dungeon. There's an entrance, revive zone and a tab showing everyone who's completed it. As of now, we are the first ones here."
Ain't that Great. If we clear it, we get more exp.
"Let's enter!"
The dungeon is a vast cavern. As soon as I enter the dungeon, a window pops up next to me.
[DO YOU WANT TO ENTER THE 'LAIR OF THE SNAKE KING' DUNGEON INSTANCE?
RECOMMENDED LEVEL 360 OR HIGHER]
I obviously click yes. As soon as I clicked yes, a large door collapsed behind me and Rahaas.
I smile in anticipation as another large door opes ahead of us. There are hundreds and maybe even thousands of those, in just this one room. This dungeon is heaven to me!
I whip out my lightning blade from my inventory and split it into two swords and charged them with lightning.
The snakes noticed this and came right at me. I looked towards Rahaas only to find plain air in his place. He's already doing his job.
Damn you Rahaas! Don't hog all of the exp for yourself!
I start moving down through all the snakes myself. They are regular snakes that inject venom into your blood stream, which makes them easy to kill, even if they are level 360. Had they had the capability to spew fire, water, bend earth, have lightning, etc the story would be completely different. Thankfully though, they give just as much exp as any other animal their level and unfortunately, they have higher speed and just as much attack power as any other level 360 beast.
"Lightning magic: Pulse!" A pulse of lightning erupted from me going towards all sides, electrocuting all those within ten meters of myself and even evaporating those that had been within five feet.
I so wish there were some classy songs playing in the background. I run towards the other snakes and cut them off.

The heat of the battle is something that can't be recreated.
{THE BOSS OF THE FIRST FLOOR OF THIS DUNGEON HAS APPEARED}
Oh, how I have missed this!!
