We must follow the humble because Paul also says in
1 Corinthians 33: << Bad companies corrupt good morals.>>
If we surround ourselves with arrogant and proud people, it will necessarily affect our behavior and we will want to be like those people. So we have to surround ourselves with good people. Those we frequent are very important. We must be able to influence by our character of humility those who are not.
How to follow the humble? By being attracted by what is humble.
Philippians 2: 3 ~ 4 says << Consider the interests of others, humility make you look at others as above yourself >>
Humility is first and foremost "others" ,it is to erase the "ego" . It is not a weakness, it is a gift of oneself in a way. You are concerned about the interests of others, putting others's true interests before yours and putting the interests of Jesus before anything else.
When we are humble, the Lord gives grace, he lifts us up. We must do things with good heart, for the Lord.
James 4: 6 says << ... God resists the proud, but he gives grace to the humble...>>
