John went to the skeleton encampment with Percy, "Hey Ulna! before we go anything let's do two rounds of rituals this times, you do it first so I can see it one more time and then I do it" said John when he got to the encampment. John gave Ulna 30 drops of his blood, and she began preparing the ink of for the circles. She began drawing the first circle, how she did it it was completely unknown to John. "How come you can draw those circles perfection" said John with curiosity. "Hahaha! With practice obviously" said Ulna while covering her mouth she found the whole question amusing. "Do not worry, I'll draw the circles you will write the runes" said Ulna with confidence. Ulna finished the circles and began inscribing the circle and John quickly followed her step by step. Ulna was a great teacher, she was able to stop John before he made any critical error, to explained what he was about to do wrong. "How do you know I was going to do these mistakes" said John "Well your not first person I taught, so it's easy to see your train of thought and the possible mistakes that you are going to make" said Ulna with confidence.
"Preparations are ready" said Ulna and John stepped on the circle and began his incantation. This time fifteen skeletons began to take shape and lined up after Ulna order them to do so. It was Johns turn to do the ritual and he had a better feeling of what was going on the spell! He was in control of everything except the incantation, Ulna was the anchor that help him stabilize him so he doesn't lose control. He blood in the ink started being suck in making the blood float in the air making fifteen entities that began to devour the bone dust, each were fighting for their share. He was trying to be mediator in the by helping those that getting behind by adding some extra ether to help them out. The ones that were fed with the extra ether were boosted and began to feast on the dust faster than the other surpassed the other, by then there was no more bone dust and the ritual was done. John finished the incantation before they could begin fighting each other and sealed them. The skeletons finally formed and took their respective shapes.
The skeletons he fed extra ether looked thinner for some reason and were faster than the regular skeletons, their movements seem more fluid and natural than the stiffer looking skeletons. "Finally agile skeletons, they're still civilian skeletons but their agility is growth is boosted in their case, they can grow into other skeleton more agile skeletons later on. But it's still to early for them they need to be trained, they'll be sent on scouting missions too..." said Ulna excited with new skeletons and paused.
"Oh talking about scouting missions, there is trouble brewing on the west side of your beast are gathering there must be a beast king close to town. We also found veins of iron, copper and coal up close to the mountains, do you want to make some mines and mine those ore?" said Ulna worried. "Well earlier today, a flock of birds started attacking town, do you think there is any connection at all? Also about the mining that's a great idea, see if our artisan skeletons are able to do anything with it" said John. "Hard to say, usually beast king only live with other land beast while flying beast dislike land beast so it's highly unlikely, but it's not impossible for them to get together for a common goal" said Ulna with a level of skepticism.
"Also I might be coming here less often, the mayor wants to send us to a training camp because of what happened. Which can be great to increase my strength and better my current build, I'm kinda lacking on my stamina lately." said John with a little disappointment. "Well master I want to make a suggestion, I would like to move our encampment closer to graveyard... I mean to the graveyard after all we are strengthen by being in burial grounds. I know you're worried about we getting spotted but there are many ways to get around that." said Ulna. "Well I'm worried that the graveyard is too far away from town, on the hand if it boosts you in a certain way that is also good, let's make the Mausoleum are base of operations, it can be locked from the inside" said John while thinking things through.
"Hey master can we attack the beast horde that's gathering, they will not see it coming!" said Skelly after John was done talking. "Skelly please protect and train these skeletons first! Try not to engage in battle yet, our skeletons are not properly equipped at the moment. We will be at a disadvantage since we are slower than them. Hopefully if we focus on mining getting raw materials we would be able to make armor and weapons for the other skeletons" said John while contemplating the worst outcome. John told Ulna to scout the training camp and arranged a meeting point somehow once the training camp starts.
When John and Percy had returned to the Percy's home. "Mom... Dad we are here!" said John. "Were have you guys been! I looked around for you guys! your bags are prepared and it's time to head out!" said Percy's dad with a hint of anger. "Head out where?" said Percy confused. "To the training camp, south of the town the first group is already building huts" said Percy's dad. Percy's mom hugged his Percy and her husband bid them farewell at the door, she waved at me and closed the door after going inside.
When they got there was a clearing, people cutting down trees to make it bigger. Some huts were already formed, other were in progress while they were setting their camp. Everyone was busy and Percy and John didn't know what to do. "Wait here!" said Percy's dad as he walked to someone. They're dialogue was brief and he returned. "Our spot is over there" as he signaled toward part of forest which wasn't cleared at all.
Percy's dad gave us both an axe, John looked at the axe and didn't know what to do with it. Percy on the other hand began swinging the axe, John quickly followed behind seeing how Percy swings the axe. "How come you do this so easily?" said John as he dropped the axe on the floor. "Well I have been doing this for some time already" said Percy calmly as he swings the axe toward the tree once again and the tree fell on the floor.
