The young boy could be seen walking towards a simple room it wasn't all that big but he knew what was inside would truly turn his world upside down. He was walking to meet his first teacher the one that would teach him general knowledge for the first year, and after that, he would teach him war tactics.
His carefree days were over he would wake up eat a light breakfast, meditate, study, and after that, he would most likely start his swordsmanship training or body training. While walking Yasuke starting thinking he had heard how his older brother was six years old right now. That would mean he is two years older than him and Date Masamune was born in 1567, so Yasuke was born on 1569 he was thinking about all the significant things that would happen in the near future so he could prepare himself for that.
While he wanted to make a list of things that would happen that had to wait for a later date since he just arrived at the room of his first teacher. The door was slowly opened and what the boy saw was a middle-aged man probably about 35 years old standing at a small 5'4 with long black hair swaying behind his back he wore a black kimono and something about him just screamed knowledge. The same was going on at the middle-aged man's side of view he was looking at the child before him black hair, blue eyes that screamed innocence at its finest, and he was small for his age the boy stood at a tiny 3'2. "Hello young master I will be one of your teachers for the next couple of years," the man told the young boy with a smile.
Inside Yasuke's head, there was only one question that he wanted an answer to "What is your name teacher" this was what he really wanted to know he hoped that the man before him was one that everyone knew of.
But sadly this wasn't the case at least Yasuke didn't get an answer for a couple of years to that question since the man answered with "Just call me teacher till the end of your studies, and I will tell you my name" and like this Yasuke and the man went inside the room and started his lessons.
The lessons weren't that interesting at all since Yasuke was a decent student in his past life he could pick up on a lot of stuff quite quickly he just wanted to get to the exciting part.
Like this, his first lesson ended it was a session of one hour that consisted of the basic knowledge like how to write and read. Yasuke learned it soon, of course, he didn't master it, but he could at least read a little bit. His teacher was shocked to see this-this was because he thought the boy before him was a literary genius. After the lesson ended, Yasuke decided to go towards his courtyard and meditate before the pond with coy fish and relax his mind even if he had done this in his past life.
Studying wasn't something he exactly enjoyed doing he started his meditation. This was one of the things he knew for sure he would continue to do for the rest of his life always when he entered his meditation he would feel at peace. He could feel the grass below him the calm wind passing through his black hair he could hear the birds chirping away in the beautiful morning and the small waves of the pond moving. Sometimes he could even hear the fish swimming this peaceful feeling continued for a while he felt one with nature all his worries were being erased from his heart.
Yasuke didn't know how long he had meditated for, but his meditation was broken when he heard a powerful voice behind him say.
"Hello, son how did your first study session go" The man that was talking was, of course, his father the man he had only seen a couple of times.
Yasuke slowly turned around to face the man that was considered his father he didn't have many memories of his he just knew his name and that he was the Daimyo. When he looked at his father, he could see he was around 30 years old, and he was quite tall probably about 6'0. He had black long wavy hair flowing towards his back Yasuke could see that he was probably stressed since he had strays of gray hair in it.
He was thinking about one thing why would his father visit him at this time? He was more focused on his older brother so why would he be here right now?
What Yasuke didn't know was that his teacher after the lessons immediately went to speak with his father about how much of a genius his second son is. Of course, did his father love him but he had to think about the clan he needed to train himself in the morning to stay ready for any war that could happen. He had to deal with political issues over the day, and he would also need to find time for his firstborn son. To teach him personally a lot of things he loved his second child just as much.
But it was the harsh truth that he wasn't that needed like his first born he wasn't the heir he was a young master and would stay that till his end of times. Terumune just wished for his son to become something good in at least one field like it be literature or the art of the sword or any other weapon.
So when he heard his son was supposed to be a literary genius he decided to come to his room and speak to him but to his surprise, he wasn't there, and one of the maids told him that he was meditating.
In Terumune eyes, Yasuke was a genius as a samurai you needed a calm mind you couldn't just go out and mindlessly fight because that would mean an early death. When he looked at his son that was meditating he could see how serious he was in his meditation and he could feel a little pride in his chest like 'that's my son.'
After a while of watching on, he decided to call out towards his second son.
And like this there first real conversation started it went over some basic things like how are you and simple stuff like that. But then Terumune asked the real question that was on his mind for this whole conversation.
"What is your goal son what do you want to accomplish" Terumune wanted to know what to expect of his son little did he know that his expectations were about to be blown away.
Because Yasuke answered with "I want to become a samurai dad" he said while smiling.
This was the one thing Terumune hadn't expected of course he had the hopes that his son wanted to be one, but his son lived a simple life he was pampered so to say. He could live a life in luxury without ever doing something because he wasn't the first born.
"Why do you want to become a samurai" (Terumune)
"To be honest dad I don't know my purpose of this life of mine but I just know I want to be strong the strong live a good life while the weak will get eaten by the strong" answered Yasuke but as soon as he responded he regretted it, after all, he was supposed to be a four-year-old, yet he replied with such a complicated answer.
His father showed surprise to his answer while thinking about his words it didn't sound like the words of a four-year-old but he liked the answer. He knew his son wouldn't turn out to be someone ordinary with this answer, after all, a child that could give such a complicated answer wasn't born for mediocrity.
"Alright I believe in you son we will see each other more often" and like this Terumune left to continue his work as a Daimyo.
What Yasuke didn't know was that he would see his father a lot more often since Terumune decided to train Yasuke together with his brother. In the hopes of creating a very close bond between them and they would help each other in the near future. He wanted Yasuke to become the blade that protected his older brother his right hand that Masamune could trust unconditionally. Because that's what a Daimyo needed people that they could trust around them.
Many Daimyo's had a downfall since their trusted aids weren't to be trusted an were betrayed he didn't want this to happen to his sons. So he had decided to make them forge a close bond so that they could face all the hardships life would bring them together.
What he didn't know was that this decision would be his best decision ever made. A legendary duo would be born in the future all because of this decision.
While Yasuke was preparing to continue with his meditation, the maid came into the courtyard and told him it was time to meet his second teacher.
Yasuke started to walk towards the place were his second teacher was supposed to be at it was at the different side of the courtyard also known as the training place for the samurai.
While he was walking, he saw many samurai training he respected them and bowed slightly towards them to show his appreciation for protecting his family. When they saw what the young master did they felt happy to be acknowledged.
Yasuke had finally arrived at the place where his teacher was he was a young adult probably about 25 years old he had a healthy looking body short black hair and black eyes as dark as the night itself. He also had a scar running across his chest. "Welcome young master I will not tell you my name since we teachers decided to reveal our names at the end of your training," he said while indifferently looking. Yasuke realized something his literature teacher gave him a calm, collected feeling while this teacher gave off the impression that he was in front of a wild beast.
That could kill him at any given time he knew this man was a seasoned samurai just from this he knew that he must have walked the front lines and survived. The respect he had towards this teacher was immense.
"Follow me," the calm voice said.
Like this they walked towards the place were laid some different weapons on a small table "sit" was the only thing Yasuke heard he slowly sat down while looking at the different weapons before him. There were a sword, bow and a spear he questioned why this was so he looked at his teacher and asked him "what is the meaning of this teacher."
The teacher looked at the boy and answered: "I will blindfold you in a bit young master and I will put random weapons in front of you no particular order, and you will pick the weapon you want."
"but why can't i just choose like this teacher" Yasuke was confused he never once heard about a method like this yet right no wit was happening.
The man smirked a little and decided to answer his question " let fate choose your weapon its just that I believe every man is destined for a type of weapon lets see what's yours."
And like this, Yasuke was blindfolded he was anxious since he wanted to live up to his ancestor and follow in his footsteps to become a sword-saint. But how could he do that if the weapon that was destined for him was a spear? He anxiously went over the weapons with his hands without touching the weapons and once he went over a specific weapon he felt connected. He felt like this is it, so he grabbed it.
His teacher slowly undid his blindfold and what Yasuke had in his hands was a clean looking katana.
"Young master I guess you will walk the path of the sword. Since this is also my path, I will teach you fort he next six years in the way of the sword. The first 2 years would consist of body training so prepare yourself to go through hell."
Yasuke was happy that he got the katana and looked at his sword with care his teacher noticed this and smiled while talking "it seems you love your sword young master this is good just know this your sword will never betray you. It will stand by your side and when it breaks it was meant to break everything comes to an end in this world just like your life your sword's life will also end one day. Take good care of it, and his lifespan would extend, treat it like something replaceable and the lifespan will decrease."
Yasuke heard his words and vowed to himself to try his best to extend the life span of this katana as much as possible this right now was his partner that would accompany him in life and death.
"Teacher does this sword have a specific name" many katana had a name, or their masters would name them.
"No it doesn't you can name it, do you have a specific name for your katana young master."
"Yes I do teacher I will call him, Heiwa (peace)" Yasuke said with a smile on his face.
His teacher was surprised with this name, so he decided to ask "why would you name your sword Heiwa you will go to war with it yet you call it peace" he asked while thinking about the meaning of the swords name.
"Teacher its indeed true that war isn't peace, but I will fight on the front lines with this katana to protect the peace of our clan and province," Yasuke told him the reason for the name of his katana.
His teacher smiled liking the name his disciple had giving his katana.
"Let's go train your body, young master and get you ready to use Heiwa."
And like this 2 years passed and Yasuke had finally finished his body training and today was the day his studies would advance he would start to study war tactics since he was a brilliant individual. And he could finally learn to use Heiwa.
Yasuke had grown right now he was big for a child his age he stood at 4'0 and had long black straight hair coupled with his lean body from all his training and his perfect skin and blue eyes. People would say that he would become a lady killer for sure.
"Let's go to my teachers to learn to use you, well partner," Yasuke told Heiwa the beautiful blade.
