"Well, no reason, so I never did ask, which type of cuisine does the restaurant serve?" Jian said deciding to poke further. He smiled saying, "It's Italian, do you remember the restaurant we went to a few months ago?"
"The one near where we brought your suit for Nicki's quince," Jian asked and he nodded saying, "Yup, that restaurant is owned by the son, and the restaurant we are going to today is owned by his father."
"Hmm, why branch out to make his own restaurant?" Jian asked and his smile dropped slightly before he said, "Well, it would be possible if their relationship isn't well, based on what I know, the son is a child of an affair so it's a complicated situation."
Jian glanced at him and he nodded saying softly, "It's alright, he's doing well, and he knows what to expect from his family so there is nothing for you to worry about, your highness."
John ended the conversation in a joking tone and Jian understood as she changed topics asking, "Do you want me to go up with you?"
"Do you not wish to?" he asked glancing at her and she looked down saying, "Well I feel a bit overdressed." He smiled saying, "We can park in the garage and take the separate elevator, it'll be faster and you will only be seen on one floor, is that okay?"
"Yup, that works fine," Jian said and he smiled replying, "Well then we're here," as he pulled into the lot. He got out and walked around to open the doors for her before they walked towards the elevator.
"Jian!" they heard a familiar voice scream as she ran towards them. "Hello, Selena," Jian said as Selena hugged her. "What are you doing by yourself?" John asked noticing no one else nearby.
"She isn't alone," they heard someone say as he walked towards them and John glanced at Selena asking, "Where's Soren?"
Selena smiled saying, "He's upstairs, I had practice today so Melvin brought me back." John nodded and Jian smiled giving Melvin a nod, as the elevator arrived.
"What are you two doing here anyway," Selena asked and Jian smiled saying, "To dinner, do you want to come with us?" Selena glanced at John before answering, "No, he said-"
"Selena, what were you practicing for," John interrupted and Jian glanced at him frowning. "It is for a piano solo, for the end of summer. It's in September, do you two want to come?" Selena asked understanding John's message and Jian smiled saying, "Sure just tell Soren to send me the date and we'll be there."
Selena nods as the doors open, "Jian why don't you go with her, you'll be able to meet Soren and talk about the thing. I'll sign the papers and come get you." John said as they walked out and Jian nodded, changing the question by asking, "So Selena, what song are you performing?"
"It's Clair de Luna, also known as Light of the Moon, the instructors chose it in January, and I have been practicing for it since then," she said proudly and smiled asking, "I have a favor, can I ask you?"
Jian nods and Selena smiles saying, "Since this is my first solo, I can choose what I want to wear as long as it doesn't get in the way of my performance, would you design me a dress?"
Jian smiles saying, "Of course, it would be an honor, let's see, I should be able to see you next week, I'll ask Soren-"
"Ask me what?" he said walking out of the office, and Selena smiled, "About my solo, and when I can meet Jian to design the dress." She nods saying, "Soren, I'll text you about the dress and its progress, as we start to design it right, Selena?"
She shook her head saying, "No, I want it to be a surprise so don't tell Soren, okay?" Jian laughed before saying, "Alright, well I guess he'll have to wait and see."
Soren sighed before the doors opened again as they heard, "Soren, you-" Cyrus paused noticing the two before giving them a nod saying, "Hello, Jian, Selena, how are you two?"
"Well," Jian said and Selena nodded saying, "Great, I finished practice without any mistakes today."
He nods saying, "Good, you're doing very well, Jian I assume you are waiting on Johnny to finish a few tasks before dinner."
She nods saying, "Yes, and thank you for letting him borrow your car."
"It's no problem, and I hope you two enjoy dinner, Soren you can head back, I'll finish up and head out later," Cyrus said as he reached for the papers Soren was holding.
"Jian, I am done," John said as he walked over, he gave Soren and Cyrus a nod. "Alright, Selena I'll text Soren and set up a meeting for your dress, bye everyone," Jian said as the two walked away.
Cyrus walked inside the office as Soren waved gently at the two before saying, "Melvin can you take Selena to the car, I have to check in with a few people before I leave."
"Let's go," Selena said as Melvin walked behind her towards the stair door asking, "Why not take the elevator?" Selena smiled saying, "So we do not disturb John and Jian's date."

Soren sighed before knocking on the door, there was no noise, and he took a deep breath before opening the door and asking, "Sir, would you like me to cancel your appointments and meeting for tomorrow?"
Cyrus kept his head down saying, "Soren, it can't-," he paused for a few seconds before continuing, "Yes, cancel everything for the next three weeks, get the jets ready, and have Melvin prepare the security team, I'll be visiting my father tonight."
"Sir, should I conduct a background check on Jian and her mother," Soren asked and Cyrus glanced up before saying, "No, there's no need, and you may continue to work on other projects, if you need my approval just place it aside, I should be back before August."
