"So, what brings you here?"
Ivy asked as she waved at the bar tender and ordered herself a glass of champagne.
"Your dad invited me."
"..."
Wesley nonchalantly said. Then downed another glass of whiskey.
"I didn't know that you drink.."
He added. During their college days, Ivy never once drink any alcoholic drink with him.
She would only order juice and milk tea whenever they hang out.
"Oh, I guess I've matured. Cheers."
Ivy raised her glass and downed the champagne in one go which surprised Wesley.
During the time that she was raising TP alone she had learn alot of different things.
Drinking wine was one of them. She giggled seeing Wesley's flustered look.
"Hey, come on now don't be so uptight."
She chuckled. Her laughter were like beautiful melodies to Wesley's ears he can't help but feel soothed with her soft giggles.
"Why did my dad invited you?"
Ivy asked which pulled Wesley out of his trance. He pensively looked at the glass of whiskey in his hand slowly swirling the ice cubes in it.
"Apparently, my son and your daughter were in a relationship or something."
"..."
He said which startled Ivy. She didn't know that her daughter would be romantically linked to someone let alone Wesley Kang's son.
Wesley let out a chuckle as he think about how their fate intertwined again only this time their offsprings will be the one to continue their unfulfilled love story.
"My Fan-Fan has great taste."
Ivy said as she tried to cheer up Wesley's mood. She could sense the bitterness in him.
She too could've chosen him but she knows things just wouldn't work out between them.
She would rather be honest with him than lose him as her friend.
"Say, for old time sake. Why didn't you chose me back then. Why didn't you even try?"
Wesley solemnly asked. Ivy looked at the humble man amiably smiling and talking with her father.
"There's just no spark."
She said. Her eyes were filled with loving gaze towards Leo.
She remembered the time when she first fell in love with him.
Her heart just won't stop beating fast. She had never felt something like that towards Wesley.
She and Leo immediately hit it off. Wesley could only drink his whiskey and looked at Ivy.
He's somewhat feeling conflicted. He's sad knowing that he, in this lifetime would never really had a chance with her.
Jealous and envious seeing how Ivy gaze at her husband. She never once looked his way like that.
But he was also happy knowing that Ivy had found someone that she genuinely love.
