Wesley Kang together with his son proudly followed the maids towards the Banquet hall.
Ethan could only shook his head in amusement seeing that his foolish friend had finally arrived.
All the guests were dumbfounded to see the elusive Wesley Kang attending a party of a mere general.
They all had one thought in their minds.
"How did the lonely old man manage to invite the two most prominent household to his party?"
Wesley Kang strutted his way towards the birthday celebrant like an emperor walking mightly amongst the crowd.
One of his subordinate was walking closely behind him carrying a small wooden crate.
And his son Charlie who was clearly flustered walking on his side.
Charlie immediately saw TP shooting daggers at him. She didn't know that he would also come to the party.
Charlie hastily sent a message to TP.
"Baby, I'm sorry I didn't tell you. Grandpa said I can't tell you or else he wouldn't give us his blessing."
He frantically texted and attached a photo of the invitation which made TP's face turned pale.
She slowly raised her head and looked at her grandpa.
'Crap. I'm busted.'
She inwardly sneered. Then she replied to Charlie.
"I forgive you. But don't ever keep any secret from me again."
She warned. But she somewhat felt guilty as she looked at the 'seen' icon in her phone.
She reckoned that she too was keeping things from him.
She figured, sooner or later she have to tell Charlie about her past.
Charlie's countenance immediately relaxed upon reading TP's reply.
He instantly send her a" kissing sticker" with the words "I miss you."
He really did missed her. Especially when Ian and Kenny were basically bullying him for being all alone for the past few days.
Wesley Kang introduced himself to Grandpa Chang and presented his gift.
Of course the old man was expecting him to show up so he wasn't a bit fazed by the intimidating godly aura of Wesley Kang.
For in his mind, the man's family in the relationship should be the one who will court and please the girl's family.
Grandpa Chang stood up and firmly shook Wesley Kang's hand. His stance was like when he was in the army, valiant and full of vigor.
He accepted Wesley's gift and carefully opened the crate.
To his surprise it was an antique porcelain tea set. He knows just by loooking that it was authentic and high value.
