Since the arrow was imbued with the power of the wind, Thufrat didn't have the time to dodge. He had other means to deal with this arrow though. Conjuring up a small amount of earth as quickly as he could, Thufrat used the earth to offset the course of the arrow slightly. Tilting his head slightly to his right, the arrow suddenly whizzed right past his face, hitting a tree that was over 40 meters away. The tree offered next to no resistance and the arrow just went straight through, continuing on its path.
Thufrat didn't just sit still and let them kill him. After the arrow missed, Thufrat jumped off his horse backwards and gave it a kick on its behind. The horse, startled and in pain, sparkled with thunder and ran straight for the elves. One of the elves didn't react in time and was trampled under the hooves of the Thunder Horse, ending his life almost instantly. Seeing the trampled, charred body of their comrade, the rest of the elves were enraged.
Before the horse could continue its rampage, its head was suddenly sent flying through the air as one of the elves appeared on top of it, his two curved short swords covered in blood. Thufrat had assumed them to carry daggers in the beginning, but he now realized that they were just unusually short curved short swords. The horse continued running for more than 20 meters before it finally collapsed onto the ground, sending a cloud of dust into the air.
The other three elves instantly coordinated their own attack, with the tall elf in the middle. The tall elf used a fairly large dagger, and he enveloped his figure in wind, before darting toward Thufrat. The other two elves both used short bows, and they stood back and prepared their shots. Thufrat noticed the elf with the long dagger coming at him, and he retrieved his warhammer from his spatial bag. After saving the life of Morgana and fighting to the brink of death, Thufrat had been awarded the warhammer he had laid eyes on in Ravenfront. Even though it was fairly far away, a servant had been sent on a mission to buy it. Thufrat had stayed in their mansion for two months after all, he had gotten it a long time ago.
With the dagger aiming straight for his heart, Thufrat threw out his own counter-attack. The blow of the warhammer split the air apart, but the clanging of metals didn't come as expected. The elf was faster and more agile than Thufrat expected, and a thin scar soon appeared across his right side. The elf appeared from within the wind about 20 meters behind him, an obvious sneer visible on his face. Thufrat felt a sharp pain from the wound, and he clenched his teeth hard, he had underestimated this elf!
As he was silently scolding himself, 2 gusts of wind arrived only a couple of meters away from him. The other two elves had taken the opportunity to launch an attack while Thufrat was still surprised, and their attacks were coming straight toward his chest. Thufrat didn't dare underestimate his opponents anymore, and he instantly urged his bloodline to cover himself in brown scales. Now covered in very protective scales, Thufrat managed to deflect the arrows using the backsides of his hands.
Before anything else, Thufrat quickly surveyed his surroundings, which gave him an idea. The elves didn't get the chance to continue their assault as Thufrat suddenly raised his leg high, and stomped down hard on the ground. Earth walls shot straight out of the ground within a circumference of 2 meters. The walls tilted outward, and Thufrat was completely hidden within. The walls weren't entirely perfect though, as a part of them was lower than the rest. The tall elf only sneered at such a weak attempt at a defense, and instantly went on the attack.
Since he couldn't rush at Thufrat straightforwardly, the elf suddenly jumped up high into the air and twisted his body in the air. His feet landed on the side of a tree that was facing the part of the defense that was slightly lower than the rest. Using the tree as if it was the ground, the elf pushed himself forward once more, this time with his course heading straight for Thufrat. Since he saw the formidable defense of Thufrat's scales, the elf went all-out and used his strongest skill. With his long dagger in front of him, the elf started spinning at an insane speed, soon making his figure a blurry haze.
The tree broke apart from the force of his feet, and the elf disappeared in a flash of green light. Using the wind, the elf turned into a spinning force of death, heading toward Thufrat at an incredible speed. This skill of his was truly tyrannical in its power, the only downside was that you would barely be able to see while using it. Even though Thufrat was supposed to be scared out of his wits, he only smiled as he heard the elf breaking the tree. He had been steadily accumulating his mana for a while now, and it was time to release it!
Thufrat swung his hammer using all the force he could muster, and he imbued the hammer with all of the mana he had accumulated. The hammer shone with a bronze hue, and Thufrat sent it straight toward the elf. Since the elf couldn't see what Thufrat was doing, he was just heading straight into his doom. Even though his skill held a fierce and scary penetrative power, in a head-on collision, it didn't amount to much.
"BAAAAAANG!"
A large sound echoed throughout the forest, and the other elves' hair stood on end, an eerie premonition took control of their hearts, and they couldn't help but gulp. A silhouette came flying through one of the walls made out of earth, making it all crumble down in the end. The silhouette flew through the air, and then landed squarely in front of the other elves after bouncing off of a tree. The silhouette turned out to be the tall elf, or what used to be at the very least. A mushy and unrecogniseable mess was all that was left off him. With blood all over his body, and pieces of bones jutting out here and there, it was quite the grotesque scene.
The two elves that used bows were scared out of their wits, and felt like vomiting. When they had no idea what to do any more, one of them felt a tap on his shoulder...
