Seeing as he had gained a new element which was suited to some specific areas where he was lacking, Ark was very happy at the moment. He now had an element that excelled in utility, more so than firepower. Of course, you could also use the light element to cast some incredible spells, but Ark had plenty of offensive power already, and he didn't need to get even more.
Since he would still use the light element a lot offensively in this dungeon, he still tried to conjure up some fairly basic and easy attacks, such as javelins, spears, arrows, and even swords. He didn't need to try stuff like coating his claws in the light element though since it was a bit too basic. After a little practice, Ark had grown confident in his new capabilities. But before he set out, he decided to double-check his status, in case he had managed to miss something of importance.

Seeing this made Ark a little dumbfounded, he noticed how his race had suddenly changed to a Radiant Ice Wolf, which probably happened during the process he had just gone through. This made him a little excited since it seemed like you could evolve without maxing out your level, even though this kind of evolution seemed a little different. Ark also noticed how some of his passive and active skills had leveled up.
He didn't get a notification about it, but that was probably because they leveled up in the middle of combat, and therefore he didn't get a notification. Since it could prove to be fatal if he got distracted in the middle of a fight to the death. This made Ark ponder a little bit. It seemed like this system adapted after the user.
He got this feeling since he never got any new skills when he made one up. He was grateful for this though since they would just take up unnecessary space on his status, and he didn't want to get restricted by a skill list but by his imagination, as well his as Mana.
But some other people was the complete opposite, they didn't want to come up with their own solutions and their own magic, they just leveled up their basic magic skills until they got new skills and new attacks. And there is nothing wrong with thinking like this, since everyone has their own principles, and fights in their own ways. In a life and death situation, it can be nice to not have to think, but instead, just invoke the name of the spell you wanna use.
Fighting and thinking like Ark might be more versatile, but it is also more demanding on the mind since you always have to use your imagination. And you have to be a little free-thinking. And if you think about it, all the combat skills that relate to magic can actually be found under [Mana Manipulation]. Since that's exactly what they are, Mana that is being manipulated. And that's why Ark didn't want any unnecessary skills taking up space in his status.
Feeling confident in himself, and itching for some action, Ark once more set off to the dungeon, but not before getting some water from the stream. After getting hydrated, he sped off into the distance. This was the amazing thing about the agility stat, it wasn't only good in combat, it could also be applied in a variety of different situations.
As he passed by a variety of different monsters and animals, Ark decided to not hunt anything right now, since he wasn't particularly hungry. He could do it after the dungeon anyway. Thinking like this, Ark finally arrived at the graveyard once more, where he noticed something peculiar. All the monsters he had killed the day before seemed to have returned again. At first, he was a bit dumbfounded, but he soon regained his spirits, since this was a dungeon after all, and anything could happen here.
As all of these monsters were undead, Ark decided that it would be best to use the light element against them. He began gathering a massive amount of Mana, both from within his body and in the air around him. For this massive move that he was about to execute, he took inspiration from the water element, and he used his experience with it to control it. All of the lightness Mana turned into a massive wave.
As the size of the wave started growing bigger and bigger, Ark's control finally started slipping after a while. Seeing this, he sent it toward the undead as quick as he could, before he lost control completely. As the air around the massive wave of light started to twist and distort, the undead were finally alerted, but there was nothing they could do at this point. They couldn't move at all since the massive amount of light Mana was applying to much pressure for them to be able to move.
As the wave finally arrived, it started ravaging everything in its path, completely destroying every single undead it came upon. This big wave of light was much like a tsunami destroying a city, completely crushing everything in its path until there was nothing left to destroy. Having killed all of the undead in the cemetery once more. Ark heard a familiar voice telling him about his level up.
Since he felt the power of magic once more, Ark dumped every single point into the intelligence attribute this time.

Seeing this made Ark a bit proud of himself, he felt like he had come far from his initial starting point. But the more he thought about his beginning in this world, the weirder he felt like it was. He had barely reacted to the fact that he had died or the fact that he had turned into a wolf, which was pretty weird, he felt like something was a bit weird with his mental state at the time. Maybe that also played in a role in the mental breakdown he had? He didn't know, but if that were the case, he was thankful. All of that helped a lot after all, and it shaped him to become what he was today.
Thinking about stuff that he couldn't solve was just a waste of time, so Ark just quietly wandered off into the dungeon again. This time he was used to the twisting feeling as he was warped into the dungeon, and it didn't bother him in the slightest. As he once again descended the stair into the dungeon, Ark once again started to grow vigilant, he didn't want to get careless just because he had gotten the light element, even if it could counter the darkness element.
When he had walked into the dungeon for a while, he came to the same three-way crossing he had gotten to yesterday. Since he didn't want to try his luck, he decided to take the same route as the one he took the day before, the right one. But since it was so dark, and since he didn't want to get ambushed, he decided to use light magic to brighten up the surroundings. He also decided to turn on his [Mana Perception] in case he missed something, the darkness element was good at concealment after all. Of course, you could still hide your Mana fluctuations if you were good enough.
After a little while, Ark could see two Darkness Arachnids staring at him menacingly from the ceiling of the cave. This time, he decided to take the initiative, and suddenly emitted a glaring light from his body. The Arachnids, taken by surprise, suddenly screeched in pain as their eyes were scorched by the light. A second later, their life was over. Ark had conjured up two light javelins and shot them out under the veil of the glaring light, which had exploded the Arachnids' heads into bloody messes.
Seeing how effective the lightness element was, Ark was a bit surprised, but then again, he had a big light affinity, which was almost as good as it got. Since the corpses didn't condense any Mana crystals, Ark continued into the dungeon once more, with his light still on, since turning it off for just a second could prove to be fatal...
