(H2) "What proof do you have of the enemy being gone?" The second husband asked Zheng Jing.
(ZJ) "What I have seen at the end of the fog is that there were only a group of about 100 ships, not one of the high tech in any way. I wiped them out in only a few minutes and found out that they were the new command center and that the bulk of the enemy had left already. According to the person who was in charge, he was a messenger, by the way, about 70% of the forces that were here originally, over 70% have already left to go elsewhere."
(H1) "Zheng He has already left?" The first husband of Madam Zheng asked.
(ZJ) "Haha, he was never here in the first place. The person who was in control was the one who decided that most of the fleet would depart from these parts was some mysterious lady that no one knew the name to."
(H1) "Knowing Zheng He's behavior, I find it hard to believe that he would entrust carriers to someone other than himself. Unless she was the person who was the one who toyed with all those elders before. Oh dear, if that is true, then where did she head off to?"
(ZJ) "The person we interrogated did not know the answer to that question, but I can guess what the likely answer is. Just think, there are 8 of us here, 8 of the most important figures in a faction of over 50,000. Who is a bigger target than the left and right arms of our queen? Well, it's our queen of course."
(H1) "Those bastards wouldn't dare!"
(H2) "So what should we do now then? Abandoning this place to chase after them will only result in us losing the island, on the other hand, if we don't put at least this much firepower here, we won't be able to keep the island. This decision is quite a hard one."
(H1) "I would disagree with that. The queen is our most important piece, we will need her if we are to win."
(ZJ) "Not to worry, I have already got the intel needed for us to destroy the radio dampener and we will be able to contact our queen soon."
(H2) "Good, Zheng Jing. You will stay here by my side, everyone else, prepare your fleets, we will ride out when I give the signal."
The room dispersed with only the Second, and Zheng Jing left inside.
(H2) "We have really bungled it this time huh?"
(ZJ) "Yea, they did the bare minimum and got us to overthink ourselves so much that we ended up playing right to their tune. Either that strategist lady is better than we thought, or she is cockier than anyone I have ever seen. For our sake, I hope she is the latter."
(H2) "I hope so as well. Here, this is the sea mine controller. I am disabling this right now so that we will be able to leave for Madam Zheng's aid."
(ZJ) "How does this work exactly? You inner circle ones always have your secrets."
(H2) "This has only been recently finished so I'm not too sure either, but the general idea is that the sea mines have 3 states that they can be in. One is active, which with a slight change in its immediate vicinity, will explode. The second state is inactive where it will only explode with it being shot, or similarly, an explosion would be able to set it off. The last is not really a state per se, but we will generally increase its buoyancy so that it floats to the top and destroys everything."
(ZJ) "I'm guessing that you can only increase the buoyancy for all of the mines and not just some?"
(H2) "Correct, it is rather new to me too-"
(M) "Sirs, the message has come through, the radio dampeners have been dealt with. It looks like Madam Zheng has been sending us sos' for the past day or so. She is occupied by a huge fleet at least 60,000 ships strong and she is unsure of how long she will be able to hold out for."
(ZJ) "Let's go. We still have so much work to do."
The First, Second, Zheng Jing and the rest of the elders immediately left the island that they had been at for the last little bit and rushed to Madam Zheng's position. She was about 60 kilometers away, but with all of the obstacles, it would take them nearly a day to reach her. However, Zheng Jing boasted some of the fastest ships within the entire Forever Pirates faction and he sped off in front of everybody else so as to get to Madam Zheng faster.
He reached her in just a few short hours with about 2,000 ships that were all battle-ready. However, this was not all that he had under his control, he had also called upon the other part of his fleet and they met up before they went to help out Madam Zheng in her precarious position. The situation that she was in was not a good one, she had been engaged with Zheng He for a day now, and with the new force that came in to reinforce Zheng He, she was not able to do much.
Zheng He had brought out everything in his firepower this time it seemed. 20 carriers, thousands of ships, submarines, a whole array of other weapons, and the vast majority of his Vesper faction. He had intended to take out Madam Zheng on the suggestions of the mysterious lady that was fighting for him.
Even someone at Zheng He's level of naval warfare was not a match for this odd lady that had suddenly helped him out, he did not know who she was, nor where she came from. All he did know was that she was possibly the most skilled naval strategist that he had ever seen, there was only one thing about her that would likely lead to her downfall, her tendency to get bored of everything too quickly.
