Baron, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei had made a split-second decision and decided to make a last-ditch attempt to rescue the seemingly already impossible situation. For now, Guan Yu and Yue Fei would take a small ship that held ten people and they would infiltrate the ship to get some information, and possibly to have an exit.
Baron stayed behind to stall all the ships that were coming their way. If all 3 of them left, that would be the end of everyone that had come with them. A considerable loss not to mention that this will be broadcast to everyone within the Chinese community. If they lost this in such a shameful way, they would be ridiculed beyond belief and all the progress that they have made to get their name out there and known. In the worst-case scenario, Madam Zheng would even renounce their alliance and they would have to fight through the Vesper faction that would begin to hound them relentlessly due to all the shame that Baron and his group had inflicted upon them.
Guan Yu and Yue Fei knew of this, and even though they were fairly high ranking elders, that was nothing compared to the influence that the Vesper faction had held for the past few centuries. They made their way to the lone ship that almost seemed to not care about the carnage around them and continued to do nothing.
The two of them made their way onto the ship from their small boat and they sneaked their way into the naval commander's cabin and once in the ten of them looked around to see who the ship belonged to and more importantly find the person who was responsible for cornering them to such an extent.
Within a few minutes of searching, one of them found a notebook with a few symbols depicting all of the Vesper faction's different groups. Guan Yu flipped through all of them and stopped on one of the pages that held the flag of the person that this fleet belonged to. It was Wu San Gui, a member of Vesper faction that already had a grudge with Baron. In the room, they also found a schematic of the ship which would prove very useful since they lucked out in finding this room in the first place. They studied it carefully.
Guan Yu and Yue Fei decided to strategize and split up their group into 2 and they went their different ways so that they could both accomplish their goals. Guan Yu would go to the control room where it was likely that the person in charge of this ship and hijack the ship. Yue Fei's assignment was to be something else entirely.
He would make his way to the board room where it was likely that they had a map that outlined their intent of the current situation and attempt to get that info back to Baron so that the 3 of them could figure out a way out of this mess if there even was a way out. Any intelligence at this point was going to be useful.
Yue Fei and his group of 5 decided not to go stealth mode this time so that the enemy would focus on him so that Guan Yu would have a higher chance to sneak into the control room and kill the captain. With all the fuss that Yue Fei was causing, many soldiers rushed to kill them. It took a long time, but Yue Fei and one other were able to make it to the board room. There, what he saw shocked him. There was no one in the room, but what was outlined on the map around this area held some very distressing news if true.
According to this map, there were some 5,000 ships all around the encirclement hiding wherever they could. Given Yue Fei's intuition, he reckoned that all of this was planned and that all these ships had been circling them for days, but only chose to close in once they knew that their enemies were in a precarious situation.
It seemed that all of these ships were also under Wu San Gui. Then, Yue Fei had another chilling thought. If the map of this area was so detailed with the enemy's locations, then who? Who did this ship belong to? Definitely, no one that was unnamed and unheard of. This meant that the fight in front of Guan Yu was to be extremely difficult even with all of Guan Yu's fighting experience.
Yue Fei finally had all of the information that he needed and decided to make his escape. All he could do was to believe in his comrade and try to get the Intel to Baron so that they could lead their forces out. Yue Fei and the other person that made it this far had to get out of the ship and onto the small boat that they came in.
This was going to be a close call since they were near the core of the ship and they had to fight their way through. In the end, this wasn't a problem for Yue Fei, but the last person in his squad did not make it out alive just like the others. He finally made it out and onto the ship that he had come in and told people that were left behind to get to Baron as fast as they could.
---------------
Guan Yu and his little group managed to sneak their way into the control room without any hassle thanks to all of Yue Fei's distractions. Inside the room, he saw quite a few people and one person he recognized.
(WSG) "Ah, elder Guan Yu, what brings you here onto my ship? I don't believe that it has anything to do with you wanting to just visit me?" Wu San Gui said in a rather condescending tone.
Guan Yu kept a calm face, but he was grimacing internally.
