Looking at the dead body of Jin, Aeron somewhat feels pity for him. However, this is the mafia world. He's seen all the cruelty in this world that he isn't much affected by it. This is the harsh reality of the world they are living, where the weak dies and the strong lives. They had to steeled themselves in order to survive.
"It's quite late now, let's rest."
"Hmm." Aisha hums in response, she's rubbing her temples tiredly and let out a sigh. She leaves the room with Freki and Aeron behind her.
Of course, this small action didn't escape from Aeron's keen eyes and felt worried for her. She's been doing all hard things ever since Morano died. She take over the De La Torre famiglia, eliminate the traitors and those who defies her, hunted the people responsible for her father's death and now she's facing an unknown enemy all by herself and even went as far to sacrifice her life just to have an alliance with the Lumière famiglia.
Most people might feel proud at her for being independent but for Aeron? He pitied the fact that aside from Alfred and Freohr she has no one to relies on. And it looks like she is pushing them away so that they will not get intangled with her.
She's all alone, and wary to trust others again.
His heart is hurting. He wants her to depend on him, he wants her to trust him and let him help her to the utmost of his capabilities.
But then, she didn't. He even had to tricked her into letting him help her.
Sure, Lucian is Aeron and Aeron is Lucian. She asked for Lucian's help, but not as her childhood friend, nor someone who can she trust and relies on but as the Boss of the Lumière famiglia that can help her with her plans.
How Aeron badly wanted for her to trust him as... him.
Aeron's cell is located at the underground of this manor, and there's many hallways leading to another direction. It almost feels like a labyrinth. With Aisha's retentive memory, she easily found the exit without Aeron's help.
"It's already midnight, it's late to go back to my villa. Let's just rest here for the night."
Aisha pursed her lips, he really never let that idea goes, but still agreed with him nevertheless. "Hmm." Aisha nodded, anyway, she's dead tired right now even though she really didn't do much.
Now, she will investigate if the Ainsworth is really the one behind all these troubles.
Seeing her nodded, Aeron flash her a grin. "Come and follow me."
Of course, Aeron didn't forget to order someone to clean Freki and have him stayed in one of the guest room in the east wing, one which is very far from his room which is in the west wing.
Freki snarled at him, resisting the urge to kill this dàmn human. How dare he seperate him from Aisha? He didn't trust any human in this world except her. With his pity eyes, Freki whimpers at Aisha, he was tempted to snuggles in her legs but he didn't want to stain her with his bloody fur.
Ever since Aisha leave the room, she had her usual cold, and emotionless face but seeing Freki's pitiful look, Aisha's face softens.
Aeron saw Aisha's look and almost kicked the dàmn wolf in frustration. Why does this wolf always compete for Aisha's attention!? Get a wife of your own and don't snatch someone else's wife, dàmn it!
As if afraid that Aisha will succumb to Freki's charm, Aeron rushed to her side and gently touch her arm. "Freki's injuries isn't heal yet, and a subordinate of mine has a few knowledge about tending the animals wounds. He lives in the east wing, by the way." The last sentence is said to Freki, telling him that he will sleep in the east wing and not in the west wing.
Freki's eyes widened, and whimpers again at Aisha. But in his thoughts, he already murdered Aeron a hundred times.
"This..." Aisha hesitated. "There isn't a room for me there?"
"All rooms are occupied." Aeron sternly said.
"Oh." Aisha nodded in disappointment, she bents her knees a little so that she can look at Freki's aggrieved eyes. "Don't worry Freki, they won't harm you. If they did, then don't hesitate to kill them or if you can't, I'll kill them for you." Aisha patted its head in a comforting way.
Aeron: "..." My dear, must you blatantly announced to murder my men? Forget it, as long as she's happy.
The two men who is tasked to take Freki away: "..." They didn't know whether to cry or not, especially seeing their Boss' doting eyes as he gaze at Aisha. To be eaten by a wolf, or to be killed with the Goddess of Death, or to be sacrificed by their Boss, they don't know what's worse between the three of them.
Freki's defeated look almost makes Aeron laugh but he still held himself and shot Freki a smug look. Freki saw it and was about to growls at him when Aisha urged him to follow the two men. He can only accept his fate, but he swear to himself that he must get back at Aeron.
Aeron was tempted to stuck his tongue at the poor wolf. He was elated at the turn out of the event, completely oblivious to Freki's plan.
"Come, let's go to the west wing."
Aisha nodded and follows him. After a few minutes, Aeron led her to an extravagant looking door, different from the other rooms she saw.
Aeron opens the door, and his strong familiar scent quickly wafted into her nose.
It was his own room.
Aisha's face darkens and remembers the woman before and Aeron's current dishelved state, Aisha's feels a deep hatred burns within her.
This bàstard dares to take me into his room!?
