---Catastrophe---
"See for yourself," I said tilting my head to my bag. "That contains my I.D. cards and my identity."
He looked at the bag and walked towards it. He started pulling out my things and he checked each of them. He read a few papers that George put and it includes my cards and my school I.D. and license. George put it there for me to survive outside in this cruel world.
"Your father's name is George Canfield who adopted you when you were just an infant?"
"Yes. He told me that it is practical to have a child without a partner so he adopted me when I was an infant. He got this Asperger's syndrome."
"Asperger's syndrome, huh." He looks unsatisfied with the information. Hell, I care! "So you put a stack of money inside your bag and your files."
"There's an explanation," I said. Sure he won't stop questioning me. "That night, he gave it to me, that is when I saw that he is still alive. He told me to leave so I did. He gave me that bag. He's a genius that's why it all contains my files and personal things. He wanted me to survive on my own without him or else, both of us will die. And I don't know why I should explain myself and I don't even know who you are."
"What kind of father is he?" he asked, narrowing his eyes on me.
"He's a good father." I only said but I think he wants to know more about Asperger's syndrome. Well, it's a type of autism spectrum. He lacks things like social interaction. However, he's a genius and he has this crazy research in the world. There are times that he lacks empathy or it's hard for someone who has this to detect another's person's emotions or understand their perspectives.
He stared at me for a moment, checking my expressions and everything. He is a curious man and all I have to do is to act all the way I have. I change myself to be all expressionless and emotionless in front of everyone. Like a robot, so no one could read my emotions. I have to take that commitment for me to survive.
"Alright, I will serve your dinner." He finally said. But a knock on the door interrupted and it opened.
A girl in black hair that looks like an Asian girl enters who is wearing a black little dress with a smile on her face. She looked at me and her eyes twinkled.
"Adhi!" she squeals and runs to me. She hugged me tight which made me wince. My arms, damn it is all aching. She also smells like strawberry and.. a man's perfume which smells familiar to me?
"Marissa, you are killing her."
Marissa immediately pulled off and apologized to me. I looked at her like Adhiti wouldn't do. Her eyes dilated when she looked into my eyes and checked every part of me checking if I was Adhiti or someone else.
"Oh, woah..." she said with wide eyes. "You are not wearing contact lenses, right?" She asked unbelievably. My eyes are light green and not that usual sky-blue eyes that Adhiti has.
"Yes," I answer, sounding more like a question.
"Catastrophe, this is Marissa. Marissa, her name is Catastrophe." He said.
"Hello, Marissa." I greet them monotonously. She was taken aback and she stepped back a little and looked at me.
"Does she have amnesia?" she asked him.
"No," he uttered like he decided to choose that I was Catastrophe and not Adhiti
Marissa put her hand over my head and iciness ran to my head through all of my body. Her skin is glowing... she's healing me. It sent shivers all over my body and the warmth and chill made me feel wonderful. She removed her hand and looked at me.
"Do you remember me now?" she asked.
"I don't. Because I don't have amnesia." I said forthrightly. "Why do you keep calling me Adhi or Adhiti? Who is she?"
"She's my best friend," Marissa said. "We grew up together..." she suddenly sounded so lonely. "Then last two years, she just disappeared before our performance. I'm sorry, I thought you were her. But you looked like her."
"And what did you do to me?" I asked her. I remove the brace on my right hand and the band-aid on my head. "I feel completely fine. You got some sort-of supernatural healing power?"
"Yup!" she said cheerily. "I couldn't heal you well last time. I wasn't in a good condition."
"And what are you?" I asked frankly.
"We are people who have supernatural powers. That's why this school is only for those people. We are sometimes called freaks because some of us had ESP, like telekinesis, telepathy, psychic powers, clairvoyance..."
Mystical Academy is where it started. And I will make them pay ten folds for what they did to me.
"I know what ESP is."
"So, what's your supernatural power?" she asked me. I don't want to tell. And I won't tell. It will spoil my plan.
"I don't. I am just a human. That means," I looked at Nick. "I am not suitable for this freak school of yours."
"Hey! You should prepare her dinner, right?" Marissa told Nick. He nodded and left the room. I looked back at Marissa. "It's alright, as soon as Nick is your mentor. He won't let anything happen to you." she winked.
"What is he?" I asked her.
"He's a martial arts professor and a great fencer." She winks. "He's hot, right?"
"Hot? How can you say that he's hot? He is not at a high temperature, right?" I asked, acting all quizzical. I move my legs down as it hangs on the bed. I felt no pain at all.
"Well, he's a hunk, gorgeous, sexy..." she teased with those childish giggles of her.
"You like him?" I asked frankly. Then she laughs out loud.
"No. Silly, he's my half-brother." She said. "I thought you liked him, that's why I said that." It should be hilarious but I don't find it funny. Marissa is a cheerful girl and I hate to break her heart but I should.
"I don't." I stood and felt the cold floor. I hear my watch beeping and I walk towards the table where my bag is and I pick my watch there. George is calling me. I pick my phone on the table and answer his call.
"C, I assume that you are fine."
"Yes, I am a father. Are you alright, Father?"
"Yes, I will break our communication because they might be after me."
"I understand. I am here at what they call Mystical Academy where freaks are enrolled."
"Good then, I will leave now." He hangs up and I put down my phone feeling beaten.
"Is your father coming?" she asked me. I turn to her.
"No. He needs to leave."
Someone knocked on the door and it opened. A lady in curly bouncy hair wearing a long slit dress. Her breast is full and pushed up showing her cleavage. She is a beauty and she looks kind.
"You must be, Catastrophe?" she asked.
"Yes," I said, not even using any verbal gestures.
"I am Leona, the new Headmistress of the school."
Leona... we meet again.
---Nicholas---
I don't believe everything she said. My heart and my mind are telling me that it was her. Maybe she had amnesia or her memories get messed up. She's my Adhiti, my soul mate. If she's doing this on purpose, the only thing that I could do is to protect her before I leave.
I went to the cafeteria to get her dinner. I saw Patrick talking with a few professors and he eyed my tray. I only nodded at him and he nods back. Sometimes, I think that he has an ESP and he could read me but maybe I am mistaken.
I went back to my cottage and found Leona there. I didn't tell her that Adhiti or Catastrophe is with me. But someone, she just found out which is suspicious.
"Leona," I greeted.
"Nick, we were just talking. I think you should show her to Adhiti's old room."
I looked at Catastrophe's green eyes and she showed no emotion at all.
"Yes, I will. For now, she needs to have her dinner."
Leona nodded as she kindly welcomed Catastrophe in the Academy. Then, she left. I observed as Catastrophe watched her leave.
I set up the table and let her eat with Marissa. I clean up the bed and other things letting them talk. Marissa became talkative as they eat. I don't want to interrupt them but I couldn't help myself watching her or looking over at her
