2 days, 16 hours, & 32 minutes before training
(Y/N) forgot to eat dinner. She was sleeping, enveloped in her plain fabric as she drooled much of the stained blanket. She took rounds of snoring, particularly drenched in deep slumber. Her hair was practically a mess, all that caused of the rolling whatsoever in the bed. Her mouth was dryly open-and now taking her would-be last round of snores.
Then a light creak sounded to the direction against (Y/N)'s bed, breaking the most silence. A figure stood as he planned to awaken her.
"Wake up kid. Time for breakfast." Said Morrison in his fatherly tone. He stood inches away from the fabricated furniture, arms in hips. He was dressed in a tight camo shirt, the lower region composed of army pants, and reinforced leather boots that're laced tightly. On the right of the shirt not just above the shoulder was a small rectangular shape on which was his hay yellow-colored surname was placed, in capital letters. MORRISON. It spelled out. Totally Jack Morrison was dressed in his commando suit, the uniform used during his first lone mission in the soldier enhancement program in age 21. After that succession, he wore it on special occasions like secret ops or in lone missions sent by the military. But this instance it seemed a but odd, but that was not his first time wearing a special uniform.
He sighed, attempting to do the drill again.
"Y/N." The tone was a bit sweet yet rose by a hint of what seemed impatience. "It's time for breakfast."
At last for what seemed a year of waiting, a slumbering Y/N roused to life from her deep, deep sleep. She stretched herself, her abdomen protruding upward and her hands reaching out the borders of her seemingly velvety paradise. She let out a groan, then greatly sighed. Preparing to face the morning reality, she rubbed her eyes and then awoke as she rose. Startled by the outfit in front of her she asked. "Why are you dressed in your commando suit?" Her voice was a slight raspy. She swallowed and undried her mouth in order to speak clearly. Her vision was not yet fully clear but see can see enough of that of Morrison's.
"I had a mission. A secret mission." He emphasized the latter part of his sentence that gave her the chills of thrilling excitement. Jack might saw that (Y/N) would get upset but he didn't expect that. She was going to be in training 2 days after.
"What about me? What about Nancy?" She began to worry. (Y/N) never liked staying with Nancy and her pet Daisy in his, or rather their private mansion without Jack. She always finds herself caught by the sentry CCTV's that Jack newly installed on a month ago. The small yet terrible machines would spot Y/N and Daisy as intruders in certain spots like the hallway through the living room perhaps and thus the result, blue photon projectiles came out struggling to hit the assumed and accused intruder whilst dodging its attacks. Luckily Y/N would rush back in Jack's room to disable the traps. Those were newly installed from Vishkar Corporation in Brazil and they haven't been reprogrammed as to who will be caught. As for Nancy and Y/N, they did not know how to operate the traps, what more could Daisy do? Jack has been interrupted by global missions associated by Director Petras, unable to reprogram even one sentry.
"You must rest, so that you may prepare better at the training. Remember you worked hard to join the program. It's not that easy Y/N. You must focus on what is important." He uttered words of encouragement. But he almost forgot the very important thing part of the drill. "And by the way eat your breakfast. Nancy's cooking was worth a buffet." He added.
"Right, right." Her voice started to fade. She gestured at the window, her face embracing the warmth of the sunlight. She closed her eyes then smiled. "I would never forget the training. In fact I placed it in my memo in the fridge." She then said happily. Then she hopped off the bed and readied herself for breakfast with Jack.
...
(Y/N)
I ate breakfast with Nancy in the dining room. The viand was hungarian sausage paired with orange juice. I suddenly filled with appetite as I smelled the wafting scent while I rushed down to the stairs.
"So where are you going now (Y/N)?" Nancy asked after swallowing her bolus.
"Well I'll be staying here. Jack said I should rest for the training." I frowned as I took the piece of meat in my mouth, thinking about the trouble that laid here in the house.
"Oh is that so? Well you should be lucky because the sentries are reprogrammed a week ago. They won't be hostile to us now." She smiled. I was shocked.
Then I took a deep sigh at the same time spinning around in my swivel chair away from the table. "Thank God! I never thought I would be happy again. I felt like I struggled with those killing machines for almost a century." I recovered in my state then came back to eating. I took another piece of meat paired with a handful of rice in my mouth. I ate happily.
"Then we should wind up. We're gonna lighten up the whole house and we will find ways to have some fun here." A delighted Nancy suggested.
I spun around slowly, glancing every inch of the room. Then an idea popped right in my head. "Yeah, you're right. I guess we should lighten this place up." I agreed to her suggestion.
"Very well then." She finalized.
3 minutes later
Both of us have finished eating and Jack took off for his special mission, leaving us in the house behind. Before sprucing things up, we settled our plan in the living room. I sat by the sofa while Nancy just stood. She's not only our maid but a formidable and loving companion too. She even taught me many things like my mother used to.
"So what are we going to do?" Nancy asked.
"I suggest we will have a picnic. Or maybe a walk at the nearby park. Or go swimming at the pool." I came up with many ideas.
Nancy thought for a minute.
"I think we should have a picnic, with Daisy at the nearby cherry blossom right in our neighbor's grove." She said excitedly.
"Right we'll include Daisy. But first we must buy some snacks at the state. And we will be having our lunch there." I said.
She giggled. "Right, splendid idea. But first we must clean the whole house or Jack might left us grounded. You must save your training." She gave me a warning. She wanted me to pursue my dream.
I readied myself then. "Well what are we waiting for, let get it on!" We rushed to get some cleaning stuff and start to clean.
First we dusted and vacuumed and swept and mopped and cleaned the living, dining rooms, the bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom, the balcony, outskirts, the pool area and the yard, even the garage (although the car is not used). All efforts are not in vain and sweat dripped almost relentlessly from our bodies. At least I burned some calories. We both sat at the sofa, taking harsh but deep breaths of relief.
"At last it was finished." I sighed.
"Check the time."
I looked at my watch. "It's 8:43. Oh no, we should get hurry." We returned the tools back to there places and scurried through the bathroom.
7 minutes later
We dressed in both skirts. Hers was pale pink while mine was dandelion yellow. We decided to head to the minimart, which is just a few walks from here. I carried a basket and a picnic blanket so that we won't be returning here for things that are forgotten. Nancy brought her purse and some utensils since we will be having lunch there at the grove, and placed it inside the basket.
"Is everything ready?" I asked.
"Yeah. I will be taking Daisy. Just wait here." She placed her things at the basket and went through the door on the other side of the kitchen to get Daisy. I sat back at the sofa and started to intrapersonalize again.
This should be my last happy moment. I must make this very memorable. I thought.
And tomorrow I must exercise and do some workout, in order to get ready for the training by Thursday.
After thinking, Nancy came back with Daisy. Daisy was a Dutch Shepherd, and she's very obedient. She can even smell and detect different kinds of bombs in meters. Jack sometimes bring Daisy to missions where bomb inspections are included. She's born with such a natural talent.
Daisy was in a good mood so I tried to caress her fluffy black fur. She seemed delighted so I rubbed her furry chin gently.
"Wanna go for a picnic?" I made a happy look as she barked happily. Then I stood.
"Okay, so here we go. Let's go!" We all left the house and locked everything inside.
For now, our destination was set to the minimart.
