Chapter 3 - Warlord

"YOU!" "What you name!"

"My name is Kid Buu."

"HA. Are you that degenerate from the Kid family? Humph! Good, only we, The Imperial Army, can set someone like you on the right path!"

Buu was left speechless by the recruiting officer. He could feel the anger bulling inside him and ready to burst. No one's ever talked to him like that. No one.

"What! Are you mad? ARE YOU MAD?! I'll set you straight." A powerful aura exploded off the officer toward Buu.

Buu was scared and immediately took three steps back. " This madman, he's even stronger than big sis." Buu thought in shock.

"Young Master!" Black was scared straight when the aura was released and ran towards Buu. The recruiter glanced at Black and looked back at Buu.

"Listen carefully and remember well, I will only say this once. YOU are NO longer the Young Master of the Kid Family. YOU no longer have any powerful backing or anyone powerful guarding you at all times. You are now just an ordinary person with no cultivation. In this world, only the strong surviving, and in this Kingdom, We, The Imperial Army, are the Strongest."

Buu was shaken to the core by these words. Every single word drilled into his head and rang over and over again in his mind. He had no family to protect him right now, No Cultivation to fight off and defend himself, and no one guarding him. He was truly defenseless in this world.

"NO!" Buu thought. I might be weak right now, but with this ring, I'll be able to reach and surpass my old cultivation in a month. With this ring, I'll be able to fulfill dad's wish and reach the grandmaster realm in three years. No one can stop me.

Buu looked at the recruiter and said determinedly, "I want to join The Imperial Army, I want to become Strong."

"Good!" The Recruiter looked at Buu and knew that his word had clicked something in him. He saw the determination and will to be strong surge within Buu.

"Sit!"

Buu sat and looked towards the recruiter behind the desk. He didn't look to be past his thirties, with strong muscles and black hair that seem to flow even though there was no wind in the room.

"I am Hall." The recruiter's crystal green eyes looked at Buu after he said the simple sentence.

"I want to join the Imperial Army," Buu said again. His eyes never leaving the recruiter.

"Good. This is a good choice that will set you on the right path for the rest of your life," The recruiter said gently and looked at a piece of paper on his desk.

"The Imperial Army is separated into four branches. They are the Warrior Branch, The Ranger Branch, The Martial Branch, and The Warlord Brand. The Warrior trains you to be a warrior, you learn sword, saber, spear, halbert, and lance. You will become an expert in one or more of these paths. The Ranger trains you to become a ranger. You will be the eyes and ears of our Kingdom. You will learn the bow and the dagger, as well as become a master hunter and forest ranger. The Martial is the Martial of the Martial path. You will train to be a master of the Martial Path. Having an unbreakable Martial heart and becoming a Martial Grandmaster will be possible. The Warlord has only one definition. Strong. To Be Strong. The Weak get trampled and the Strong get Stronger. They are the most elite branch of our Kingdom and the not so secret force of our King. Now, Which branch would you like to join?"

"Of course the Warlord Branch," Buu replied without pause. If he wanted to be the strongest, he had to join the strongest branch, naturally.

The recruiter smiled and nodded his head. "The requirements for the Warlord branch are a bit strange, but you do fit them. You must be under the age of 15 and have no cultivation. You are quite lucky."

Buu was surprised, he was actually really lucky. Most kids started cultivating when they were twelve and in fact, so did he, but his sister crippled his cultivation making him have to start again.

"I will prepare a room for you, you came at the right time, The recruits for the warlord path leave for recruit camp tomorrow. Go, and rest well Tonight."

"Yes." Buu stood and walked towards the exit. A warrior was already waiting there ready to take him to his room.

As soon as Buu left the room, a smile appeared on recruiter Hall's face. "There my old friend, I have set him on the path, whether he successfully matures is now up to him. Hehe."
