His face changed when he realized there was no one in the house. She was not here.
Where is she?
His eyes narrowed as his mind kept thinking where she could be. The thought of her returning to her home was completely off his mind so he never thought she would be there even though it was a rational expectation for her.
He looked around for the second time before he reached for his phone to call her. It was different than what he planned. He never planned to be the first to call or meet her because, in his mind, he was the victim.
She only answered the call after several rings. He almost lost his temper for the lateness but he held himself for now. He would not raise his voice at her before he got the answer he wanted.
Why did she treat him that way this morning?
