Jeremy was busy with his work when his phone rang. At first, he wanted to ignore it but when he glanced to check the caller to decide whether to ignore or answer it, he found that his mother was the one calling him.
He could not ignore a call from his parents.
He put down his pen and reached for the phone. As he answered the call, he leaned his back against the chair so he could be comfortable when talking.
"Hello, mother."
"Jeremy, are you in the office?" his mother asked.
"Yes, mother. I am busy at work," he replied. His eyes landed on the files on his table. It never seemed to end, this pile of files. He swore he had never seen his table free of any file. Well, maybe just a minute or two before that personal assistant of his came carrying another pile of files.
"When are you going to bring Ryn home?" she asked.
His face changed.
