Ryn looked up at the ceiling wordlessly. Jeremy was still at the office while Mika had been picked up by her husband to return home, despite her whine of wanting to accompany her here at the mansion and have another pyjama party. Mrs Long, on the other hand, was busy with her friends playing mahjong outside, while her husband went to meet his old friend for a game of golf.
So, she was here in this huge mansion with only the butler and the maids.
This was not what she had in mind when she thought about resting and recuperating. She preferred staying at her home despite being alone than being in this huge house.
She sighed again, "Is this what I have to go through until all these bandages are off me?"
