The lunch was full of happiness and excitement. The elders, especially the women, could not stop sharing their experience of pregnancy and what to do and not to do during the pregnancy.
Jason and Mika could not stop from grinning happily as they accepted all the tips and admonishments. Jason kept glancing at his wife lovingly and even helped when Mika wanted to eat something, he would cut it into tiny little pieces to feed her.
Ryn and Jeremy did not say anything to the couple. They just watched the elders celebrating the good news. Jeremy did try to ask Ryn out so they could have a private conversation but Ryn refused to look at him. He sighed and just played with his food unhappily.
He thought he could use the chance to soften her heart and rekindle their relationship again. But it seemed like she only came here for Mika and food. She never once looked at him nor answer his call. It was heartbreaking to see her ignoring him like this.
