While Ryn was taken aback by how Jeremy suddenly appeared and interrupted the conversation, he stepped forward and took the phone from her hand.
"Don't think to skip your work by using Ryn's name. I will check your progress from time to time," he warned his little sister.
"I am not playing truant, you stupid brother," Mika cried unhappily.
"Are you? Then, you are not planning to come here and bring us to the airport?" he asked sarcastically.
"Jeremy," Mika growled. How could her big brother be this hateful? She could not believe her brother would treat her like this. Where was the love between siblings? Shouldn't he pamper her as she was the youngest and the princess in the family?
"We're busy. Don't bother calling Ryn today. She'll be too exhausted to talk with you," Jeremy said and despite the yelling from Mika who was stunned by his words, he ended the call.
"J, how could you?" Ryn choked out when he handed her phone back.
