Harry did not remember what he ate during lunch. His eyes kept landing on Ryn, hoping she would say something to ease the worries in his heart. He looked at their manager and saw Mei Li busy typing furiously on her phone. She then excused herself to make a phone call.
Harry sighed.
It seemed like the only person who has the mood to eat was Ryn. She was the only one who was eating seriously and soon enough, all the plates and bowls for her food were clean except for a little dab of sauce for some. Once he saw that she has filled her stomach, he raised his hand for the bill and handed his card to the waiter to pay.
The trio went into Mei Li's car. Harry had no idea what Mei Li's conversation was about but the manager was having a huge smile. He did not have to wait long when Mei Li, who just started the engine, turned to look at Ryn.
"I've gotten the date for the Family Day," she announced.
