Mei Li stood up and grabbed her bag. But then, she still did not move. She just rested her hands on the head of the chair.
She did not move until someone pushed the door open. Both turned to look at the door. A waiter was the one opening the door. She bobbed her head politely before gave way to a man.
It was Jeremy.
Mei Li smiled at the sight of him. She straightened herself and looked at Ryn.
"I'll go first. You two talk first. And Ryn, just send me a message when you reach home," Mei Li winked. She then walked to the door where Jeremy was still standing. She patted Jeremy's shoulder.
"Talk to her gently. She's still hurt," Mei Li whispered before added after a pause, "Goodbye."
Jeremy gave a slight nod to acknowledge Mei Li's words. When the woman was almost walking through the door, he opened his mouth and said, "Don't worry."
