Chapter 1 - Prologue - It Began On a Rainy Night

It was a dark and gloomy night, rain falling heavily from the dark clouds above. Not many people would be outside in this weather as it was too cold and wet for most people. Keyword: Most.

In a dark, out of the way alley, a young girl in her mid-twenties was laying on the moist ground. Blood was pooled around her, the rain slowly washing it away. Her clothes were wrinkled and ripped, also stained in blood.

Pain strikes through her with every breath she took, her beaten body slowly shutting down on its self.

Cracking open her hazy blue eyes, all she can see is the blackness of her hair and the blurred image of the world outside the alleyway.

She lets out a harsh breath, coughing soon afterward. Weakly bringing up her tattered pale hand, she covers her mouth. She felt warm liquid soon fall down her hand. Looking down, she sees the color red.

'This is how I die, huh?'

Her vision slowly starts to fade, making her close her eyes as she got weaker. It was becoming harder to breathe. She felt really cold, the rain not helping any.

'Fitting, I always thought I would die somewhere without anyone to save me.'

Coughing again, she forces herself to open her eyes one last time, hoping to see the world before she died.

'Looks like I'm dying alone this time around. I just wish...'

Her vision got darker but she still made herself keep her eyes open. She could barely see, her vision covered in a misty haze. Out of the haze though, she saw dark figures rushing through the pouring rain. They seemed panicked.

'I just wish that I could've said goodbye to everyone... I pray that they will be fine.'

Tears escaped her as she finally closed her eyes. She could no longer hear the pouring rain but she felt something close.

'Hopefully, I can live a better life in the next life.'

Her senses failed her as she grew cold. She no longer felt the pain, the sorrow, nor the loneliness. She just felt empty and cold.

'May everyone lives happily...'

A shadowed figure smirks, twirling a small dagger as they watched the girl die. There was a deadly gleam in their cold eyes.

"Perfect."
