Brie keeps on looking back and forth between Seal, Ocean and Pierce. Seal noticed what Brie is doing so she looked at him in glare. Ocean, in the other hand, must've read what Brie meant on his actions making him pick a fork and threw it on the prince.
"I wasn't doing anything," Brie said when he managed to escape from Ocean's attack.
"Shut up," Ocean said and rolled his eyes at him.
"But seriously speaking, what's with your outfit? Sealina and Ocean's outfit has the same color and decorations. But in details, especially when I look at it closely, Pierce matched hers more," Brie said while looking at the three.
Seal's eyes widened at what Brie said. That made her look at the prince on her side. Ocean on her left and Pierce on her right. She mentally compared their clothes and silently agreed to what Brie said.
'But why?' she mentally asked and Ocean replied a hiss.
"As to formally welcome you, I am Prince Frost Andrius Arts of Paladin Kingdom. Second child of King Pilo Andrius Arts and Queen Grace Forser Arts," Frost said and nodded at the visitors. Brie laughed at his older brother's speech. Frost glared at him and he stopped.
"I'm Prince Briendle Andrius Arts. Third child of King Pilo Andrius Arts and Queen Grace Forser Arts. The most handsome prince in the Paladin Kingdom," Brie said and he received a glare from his audience.
"Let's proceed for our meeting. The real reason why our father sent us here is to form an alliance with Paladin Kingdom. It is to protect each kingdom, trade goods and most especially to protect the fourth prince, Ocean Song and his woman, Sealina Equinox," Pierce formally said.
'Protection? For what?' Seal thought. Brie must have read her thoughts making him smirk at his reaction.
"As you all know, Paladin Kingdom and Osiris Kingdom has been partners for many generations. But recently, our fourth prince abducted a human being and brought her to our world. It is against our law to have a relationship with a non-vampire being," Pierce said and glanced at Seal which made her flinch.
"It will be easy for us to solve the conflict but our fourth prince marked the woman. It is also against our civil law with other creatures, not to have any relationship with them," Landon said.
Seal can't understand but she felt something in her chest. That feeling again where her heart is being squeezed.
"Our councilors arranged a trial and the fourth prince received a detention in the dungeon while his woman had been converted to a half-vampire," Landon continued.
"The council of Osiris agreed to be on our side but their decision might change any time. We want to form an alliance from you to help us protect Sealina Equinox. It will not be long enough and the whole vampire world will know about this. And much probably, Magna will know about it, too," Pierce said and silence filled the room.
'What is Magna?' Seal asked.
'It is the group of elders who are being followed by the kingdoms in the vampire world. They are formed to have a fair law and judging system in different lands in this world. Magna has four member. One member from one Land. But for some unknown reasons, Land of Daut has no representative in the Magna. That's why in this world, Land of Daut can be considered as an unfortunate land despite our wealth. Vampires do not disobey Magna's orders. They commonly start war at those who go against them.' Ocean explained.
Seal can't process the information that Ocean just told her. All that she knew is that Ocean and her... must not be together. A war will happen because of her. She can't bear thinking about the King and Queen, the princes being in a war, fighting for them. For her.
"I know that I'm not in the position to judge, but as a prince, I think that what Ocean did is dangerous. You're going against the Magna. No one defies Magna," Frost said. Seal felt guilty because of what Frost said. Ocean maybe at fault but she can't deny the fact that she doesn't want to blame it all to him. In her eyes, Ocean isn't wrong. Loving isn't wrong.
"You're forgetting something, brother," Brie said making everyone in the room looked at him. "There is the one who dare to defy the Magna. Remember Prince Ymir Draco of Frego Kingdom? He fell in love to a witch," Brie continued.
"You mean, the second prince of Frego Kingdom?" Landon asked him and Brie just nodded. "Are you kidding us, Brie? That was the time when Maga almost erased the Land of Daut. And guess what? Prince Ymir and that witch died. Do you think that giving us that idea will help? Do you want them to die?" Landon shouted at Brie.
Seal wanted to cry because of what Landon said. Death is the only thing that she feared.
'I don't want to die.' Seal thought. She didn't noticed that a tear fell from her eyes. She just felt Ocean held her hand and gave her an assuring smile. But that didn't helped her. She felt like she can't talk. She can't even breathe because of what she felt. For some reasons, she doesn't want to see this prince with blue orbs die.
'Everything will be okay.' Ocean said.
Seal can't sleep after the dinner meeting with the prince of Paladin. She kept on thinking about things that they said.
'We can't be together. Ocean and I are not meant for each other.' She thought. She may have not that kind of feeling for the fourth prince but she can't bear being away from him. She admitted that she's starting to feel something for him but still confused whether it's just the bond between them or she's starting to fall for him.
Another thing that bothers her is Prince Ymir and the witch. They have the same case like them. Different creatures who fell in love despite their laws and differences. But what made really bothers her was the fact that the first relationship that go against the Magna didn't succeed. In the end, the two still died.
'Can we be together despite the fact that we came from different worlds? How could this relationship succeed when in the start, we are already not meant for each other? How can we go against the Magna? Are we going to die just like Prince Ymir and the witch?'
Thoughts flared up Seal's mind. She sighed in defeat. She can't digest all the things in just one day. Especially when she found out that they might risk some lives just for the bond that they have. But her doubt and fear lessened when she heard a voice in her mind.
'I love you, Sealina.'
