The smile of my opponent sent a chill through a spine, and that's something considering the icy nature of this body. Ra or Atum or whoever he may be now looked to be a bit younger than the Atum form. Though he still looked old, just not as if he was on his deathbed.
The halo that was hovering behind his back was now silver in color. As for the crown on his head, it changed into a pair of curved ram horns.
"A makeover isn't going to save you from my blade, uhhhh... What am I supposed to call you now?" I asked, the annoyance visible in my tone.
"I am Amun, the Omnipotent," the old man replied, his mouth still curved in that damnable smile.
"Wipe that smirk off your ugly face!" I roared as I charged at him and went for a stab to his heart, but at the same time, my guard was up so that he wouldn't touch me and steal my abilities again.
What was surprising is that he didn't move, and his eyes even taunted me to stab him. 'I have a bad feeling about this...' I thought; however, it was too late now.
My sword made contact with his body, even ripped his upper garments, but the blade didn't go through the skin. Do not misunderstand, it wasn't that the skin was tough as mine -it was even soft- but it felt as if I did no damage to him whatsoever.
A set of consecutive sword strikes followed after that. And although I wasn't doing any damage, my guess was confirmed.
Finally, I stopped and looked at his still smiling face, "I suppose the special ability of this form is to negate all damage incoming. Very useful. But I also suppose that your offensive power is extremely diminished while in this state, which is why you haven't attacked yet. Am I correct?"
Still smiling, he shook his head and replied, "What does it matter if you know about it or not? I have all the time in the world, and you can't harm me. I have nothing to lose. And do not even think about leaving to wreak more havoc on the mortals, I will not let you pass."
I frowned as we stood there for at least half an hour. 'Think think think think!' thoughts ran through my head. 'Wait...'
Suddenly, I dashed backwards as Amun looked on as if he saw something interesting.
'I only used melee attacks against him, but there are still elemental attacks. I refuse to believe that he's truly omnipotent!'
I flew to the sky and the wind around me contracted to form several wind needles that rained down in the direction of his heart.
'This has to work...' And the heavens answered my prayers. Amun moved, attempting to dodge my attack.
"Oh no, you won't get away!" I shouted as more and more wind needles came to form. After a few minutes, the wind needles completely covered the old man's body and brought him to his knees.
What rose, however, was a glowing middle-aged man!
