Chereads / My Unchained Wrath / Chapter 3 - The Trials-3- My absolute Enjoyment of Fights

Chapter 3 - The Trials-3- My absolute Enjoyment of Fights

I charged passed the goblins wielding swords and spears, ducking and dodging, and made my way directly towards the archers in the back. My right hand loosened the grip on my glaive allowing my blade to fly quicker towards the neck of the archer. Just before my strike landed, I tightened my grip and carved my blade downwards and put my body weight behind it. Without a seconds rest I charged towards another, not giving it a chance to rest, I curved my wrist 90 degrees and swung it across its neck once again. Through the corner of my eyes I could see 2 notifications, however, it would be both stupid and dangerous to check it now. Unable to hide my curiosity though, I checked it.

[Critical Strike]

[Trial Goblin -T4- (1400) Fatal Damage]

[Killed A Lifeform A tier above you (0.2x Bonus Experience)]

[Experience Gained: 0 (Trial -No experience Gained)]

[Sinful Blade Arts-Proficiency Gained: 0.0003% (Trial- Proficiency limited)]

{Passive Skill Gained: Decapitation}

SHING! A arrow flew past me, barely missing my face by a few inches. Ok ok I will check my notifications later. But if I have to survive here for 3 hours is it not a bit unfair to limit my proficiency gain?

There seemed to be only 3 more archers, I quickly headed to the one closest to me again...My blade flew towards its neck ,however, this time it felt a lot smoother and I could see a faint line which is probably telling me where to strike but I don't want to be forced to rely on it.

My blade took the head off the goblin either way, However the goblin managed to strike my left shoulder, cutting my clothes not my skin. Oh! I forgot to mention but I was wearing tracksuit trousers and a thin white top so it allowed me move easily, incase you were wondering. I grasped the hair on the head that was released from the body and swung it towards the next archer, the blood, fat and muscle covered its eyes. Using this chance I swung my blade from the top of its head all the way down creating a beautiful painting bathed in blood of a perfectly symmetrical slash. I swung the blade once to get rid of the excess blood and fat dulling it. "That only leaves one" I said as my eyes narrowed and my lips curved upwards. Quickly dodging to the left to avoid the slash of the warrior that caught up behind me. " They always want to die young". I started to drop to my left and mid-drop , I spun around and cleaved a diagonal gash starting from above his right shoulder and down, separating his heart in to two different parts. Using my blade ,that was still in lodged in his (I believe it was a male) shoulder, I pushed myself back up into a standing position.

Ah. Seeing as murder was banned back in earth in many areas, I am having so much fun right now.

I stare down another archer as from the corner of my eyes I see more walking through the gates.

Aye! Aye! My body still aches but any visible wounds have been healed. I suppose I have to face my fears or something in this trial, I mean what else could it be?

Suddenly a pair of hands grasped my head from the back

"Seriously, What is it with you people? Do you not understand the concept of a personal bubble?"

I said as I turned around to swing at what ever it was behind me. However, as the cliché goes, there was nothing there. The hands that were grasping onto my head had disappeared , along with the glaive in my hands. As I turned around once again the scenery had changed from the colosseum I was standing in, to a decrepit hallway of some building I supposed would also be broken down. The classical horror/thriller setting. Behind me was the hallway blocked by tables and chairs, I tried to move them but it seemed that they had either been firmly rooted in place or my hands had suddenly gotten weak. The pungent smell of burning corpses and the metallic smell of blood had penetrated into my nose. "How lovely" I felt the need to comment. There were 8 doors in front of me, 4 on my right and 4 to my left, placed at odd distances from eachother. I started to walk forwards, as I had lost my weapon and had to rely on my limbs as defence, I was on more alert than usual. The floors started to creak and tremble with every step I took. the walls started to feel alive, as if they all had emotions and feeling like I did. I turned the handle of the first door. I was met with resistance, the door was locked. I let go of the handle and watched it fly back to its original position and moved on to the next door. This continued until I reached the second-to-last door, which greeted me with a satisfying click as it opened.

There was a warm and welcoming darkness in front of me. I walked in.

After I had a chance to look at my surroundings ,I stopped dead in my tracks. I was standing in the same hallway from which I thought I had left.

The same oddly placed doors and pungent smell greeted me.

This trial seems to be harder than I thought.
