Lucien wanted to look at his record. He couldn't tell how much his RC Level increased by himself and could only rely on the record. Perhaps when he reached a slightly higher level in observation through using psionic energy, he could do it that way. For now, the only record was available.
He opened his record, which he hadn't seen in a long time. Lucien was eager to see changes there.
[Name: Lucien Etras die Aeon
Race: Noble Ghoul
RC Type: Rinkaku
RC Level: 1,345
Unique State: N/A
***
Abilities: Telekinesis (Enhanced Reflexes)]
Lucien looked at his RC Level and found that it had increased from the previous 1,065 to the current 1,365, which was a very nice increase in RC Level. The new thing in his record was something called Enhanced Reflexes. These resulted from waking his telekinesis ability and smaller brain evolution.
'I feel that when I hit RC Level 2,000, I would be able to use my kakuja. Probably I would have kakuja like the rest of my family, divided into four stages based on my RC Level. Still, it's better than those body-like-armors like Yoshimura's had or Roma.'
Lucien was always feeling that having kakuja smaller was better. He didn't like kakujas that much because he thought that their power was not concentrated in one place and couldn't be used more efficiently. He wanted kakujas like Kirishima Arata had or V7 of Kaneki Ken's kakuja, which was body armor with blades forming from his shoulders.
Lucien was now very curious about kakuja, so he went to visit one person who knew ghoul physiology best in this place. It was that doctor who came to look at him when he passed out during his attempt to unlock psionic energy in his brain and telekinesis ability.
But sadly, when he asked his maid if he could visit the doctor, she informed him that the doctor wasn't currently available. So he went to the library to search for a book about kakuja.
The library in Aeon House was one of the biggest rooms in the entire house. There were thousands of books, and many of them were very, very old. Some were from the middle-ages, and there were even some scrolls of ancient times.
Lucien searched for around half an hour for the book about kakuja. He wanted only some kind of brief guide and not some complete novel, which was written for researchers and doctors. He found a smaller short manual about kakuja and started reading it. The basic description of kakuja was.
"Kakuja is a kind of kagune that clads the ghoul's body. Though it is rare, it can occur through repeated cannibalism. When a Ward has a higher ghoul to human ratio, cannibalism is more common due to turf wars and limited food supply. Sometimes, the transformation is incomplete, and such individuals are called half-kakujas. It is said that through cannibalism, a ghoul absorbs Rc cells, and this increases the concentration of Rc cells within a ghoul's body. If the concentration becomes high enough, it may trigger a mutation and lead to the formation of a new kagune. A kakuja can further evolve by continuing to cannibalize its kind. Kakuja can be eventually developed into a much larger and monstrous form. The transformation seems to be affected by psychological factors.
Power of kakuja apart from the predatory kagune ghouls commonly possess, a kakuja has a special kagune that clads the ghoul's body and functions like armor. The kagune amplifies the kakuja's strength or diversifies their abilities, which makes fighting one of them especially hard. However, using a kakuja kagune is nearly impossible because most users tend to lose their minds while fighting with it. It is unknown why some ghouls can remain sane and others are not. One reason may be that all unstable/insane ghouls using kakuja are half/incomplete as full kakuja are not observed to have any problems maintaining control."
Lucien finished reading the essential kakuja guide and started thinking about these texts. It was undoubtedly true that kakuja was a mighty state that ghouls could attain. It greatly enhanced physical power and abilities. This could be counted as a plus.
But this state was extremely dangerous to the ghoul. To an ordinary ghoul, of course, due to his wish, he won't be bothered by it, as the main problem was a loss of sanity that was already solved.
Most ghouls that cannibalized on other ghouls didn't have their rationality and sanity even when they were not using the kakuja state. But when they used it, even those who kept being sane before went insane when kakuja was on.
It was tough for the ghoul to maintain their rationality during a fight with the usage of kakuja. Another problem was with a form of kakuja. Most famous ones as the One-Eyed Owl of Yoshimura Eto or "Dragon" of Kaneki Ken.
Lucien always thought these kakujas could be much stronger if they concentrated all their kakuja around themselves, compressed it, and created compressed multi-layered body armor.

The next day Lucien got up early and started his training as usual. Either he was training in "Rinkaku Martial Arts" with his father or kenjutsu and usage of detachable kagune with his mother.
It was the same routine.
His mother didn't teach him any specific sword style and taught him only the basics. She said that she would teach him more advanced techniques when he was ready.
Lucien spent two months this way before something extraordinary happened. One day when he was training alone in the training field, he saw an older man standing at the corner of the area. He had very long white hair reaching to his waist and a white beard. His face had some wrinkles from old age on it, and he was armored with a stern and strict look.
He was clothed in a very luxurious black Japanese kimono and wooden sandals. With his looks, he resembles Washuu Tsuneyoshi. But they just looked a little similar. Lucien knew who he was. He was previously head of the Aeon House and father of Asmodeus, thus the grandfather of Lucien.
Lucien didn't remember him much cause when he was small, his grandfather was severely injured and was forced to enter hibernation. But he knew him from paintings and photos. They just looked at each other, not saying a word.
His grandfather, Azrael, just examined his grandson before gentle nodding his head. When Lucien saw that, a small smile grew on his face as he nodded too back. It had a simple meaning of 'we will speak later.'
