"I think you should ask 'your soulmate' to meet somewhere else. It seems improper to date at your brother's working place ." He looked at her reaction.
Yueling's face previously had a small smile but it is gone now. She wrinkled her eyebrows and sharply looked at Li Jun. "Dr Zhou, why did you help me?" Her voice was soft but lining with ire.
"Oh, just for fun. It seems like watching a drama between you and him." To her ears, he sounds weird. Li Jun still looking at her with a half smile. She couldn't decipher the meaning of his expression. Since the first day they met (as far as she can remember), he is someone that is hard to read.
"You clearly understood the situation when you helped me but your justification just now, I don't understand it. But I won't bother to try either. Thank you anyway." With an indifferent tone, she said her words and left him.

He looked at her back while holding himself from catching up to her and confess the feelings that he felt when he saw that Ru Sheng saying that crap of 'soulmate' thingy.
3 years ago, the first time Li Jun saw her was at the airport. She was reading a book at the cafe . He sat directly opposite of her at that time. What attracted him at first was not her figure nor her giddy expression when she read a particular chapter of the book but, the question was 'how can she read in the midst of hectic and noisy place?'.
When he looked up for a second time, she was answering a call. After a few seconds, he saw her quickly reached for her book and luggage in one hand while still on the phone as if she was rushed by something or someone, who knows. She stood up and went straight to a particular gate with a small running steps. She didn't even realise that she left her silk scarf on the couch. He went to pick it up and ran after her but she was faster than him or it just that he didn't know which gate she exactly went. So, he kept that silk scarf to himself.
2 moths later, when he was sorting his things , he found that abandoned scarf in his wardrobe. He thought that since he will never meet that lady again, he can just give away that scarf to someone. Hence, he brought it to the office. That day, he met her for a second time. Of course, she didn't knew him but she seems distanced and hard to approach. Clearly, she was talking just fine to her brother but when he came interrupting their conversation , she was quiet like the sound of a baby sleeping.

Yueling was accompanying Yueming for a lunch at the hospital's cafe and she was talking about her experience being a lecturer at one of the top medical university in that city. She smiled and laughed a little to her brother's lame jokes. That was the time when Li Jun had came and interrupted them. Her smiled died at instance. She just looked at her brother for a second then turned to look at her smartphone. She didn't utter a sound and looked up only when her brother called her name, introducing her to Li Jun. Her brother invited Li Jun to sit with them since the cafe had so many people during lunch time and gladly he accepted.
Li Jun simply asked some introductory question to Yueling but every question was answered using a minimum range of words. Nevertheless, he just smile and within each answer his lips curved a little bit more. She can't understand his reaction and what he was thinking.
Even when Xia xia started to converse with her for the first time, Xia xia lamented on how her answer is too simple like she didn't care about other people's feelings. But Xia xia still talk to her for the next time until they became very close like sisters.
