Faust sat there twirling his beloved staff, everyone in the room watched him warily and flinched when the staff suddenly stopped and clacked against the ground.
"Yes, how I have missed you darling. The things we have done, the things we will do" said Faust looking over the staff until he narrowed his eyes.
"So rude to touch another man's woman and leave such a disgusting mark" said Faust as he tapped a random spot on the staff causing runes to appear and dissolve he flicked his eyes towards the council dangerously.
"It's rude to snoop in other people's business" said Faust, the runes meant to analyze the workings of his magic.
The council was on edge at the sight before them, the casual dismissal of such high class runes.
"It was just a precaution" said an elf
"Oh then maybe I should take a few precautions, do you really dare to doubt my knowledge. The audacity to use my own creation against me, did you even suspect that it might escape my notice" asked Faust as he began smiling mockingly as he sat cross legged on the floor.
They council was surprised at that bit of information, he created that analysis formula.
"You children are so naive, I was the one who made the universal magic code. I am due credit for most of the fields of magic there are today, by all means I am the founder of this modern era of magic" said Faust as his eyes glowed patronizingly.
"Faust do not think yourselves our better" said a saint
Faust flicked his eyes towards the saint, he disappeared from his spot and was sitting in the same position in front of the saint.
"Oh and who would you consider my better" asked Faust caressing the mans face staring deep in his eyes.
The saint was in shock, he dare not say another word.
"Oh my and I thought we could have a delightful game of word play but it seems I broke him, I don't like broken toys" said Faust with an edge at the end of his words.
"FAUST" shouted the old man
"Oh have I overstepped my bounds, do you think now that I am free that you can at all stop me. Especially now that I am a strapping young man again, don't be foolish" laughed Faust as he rocked back and forth.
The council stared at this man, they could not refute him. They had expected an old monster at the edge of his life if he wasn't dead already but here this beast stood in the skin of a teen no less.
"Oh how I wish could see that old buzzards face knowing you all unleashed his greatest disappointment, I bet he curses you all from the grave as we speak" said Faust as he picked his ear and wiped on the saint next to him.
"Faust we brought you here to ask you to help us, it is as you said we can't stop you as you are now but I remember my father speaking of his teacher. A man who stood beyond the reaches of mortal capabilities and pioneered magic as if it was breathing air, a man with a heart filled with kindness who wouldn't even kill his worst enemy. I wish to see this shining star that could unite the world with his presence" said the old man as he spoke in a broken voice.
Faust stiffened as memories surged before his eyes, happy memories, before he became obsessed with extending his life and achieving perfection. Faust began leaking his pressure as his mind started to mess with him, realizing what was going on he shook his head and smiled pitifully
"I will hear you out" said Faust in an ominous voice.
"We are at our ends, we are at the brink. Our races can not hold out any longer against those evil beings, I beseech you to do your worst and afflict them with your wrath" said the old man
"You speak as if I am a boogeyman" said Faust in a pleased tone, if he was asking he could still do with some modifying to achieve perfection and so much research still left to do.
"I wish you to become such for these beings" said the old man
"I will consider this but I request my research" said Faust with a hungry glow to his eyes
The council remained silent, Faust sat there for a long time and receiving no answer he began gritting his teeth angrily.
"My research council men" said Faust ravenously
"That is not possible" said the saints opposite of his current companion.
Faust's eyes dilated as they widened and his breathing became ragged, looking at the saint that had spoken he clenched the table causing it to splinter.
"What do you mean not possible" asked Faust softly
The council was worried with reaction Faust was having, they were unsure if they should say it.
"Your research is gone" said the saint warily
"Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone" sang Faust when he heard those words he rocked back and forth before mumbling under his breath speedily.
"What do you mean gone, its not possible, you couldn't destroy it. Not burnable, no what would you have done with, sealed it, no they said gone. What can gone mean. It means it isn't here, but then where is it. I don't know, I should ask them" said Faust after his mumbling
"What happened to it" asked Faust curiously, these people were not liking their odds at this moment after witnessing that one man conversation.
"The Head council man that had you locked away put it in a storage ring and destroyed it" said the old man
Faust froze, he jumped down from where he had been sitting.
"Come Angeline" said Faust as he began leaving grabbing his staff.
"Faust where are you going" asked the council men
"I need to start over, I don't know where that old goat put that storage ring" said Faust
"Where are you taking my daughter" asked the old man fearfully
"I need an assistant who knows I might just teach her something" said Faust as he laughed fiendishly
Angeline looked towards her father unsure, he nodded hesitantly but also ordered a man at his side to put a squad together to follow.
The council couldn't believe they allowed this monster to walk the streets again
