Chapter 1 - Nightmares

I lay awake staring at the ceiling, waiting for that dreaded moment that happened every night.

I heard the eerie creaks from downstairs and I knew 'it' was here. I sat up and I felt the sweat fall off my face.

My heart raced with every step I took, I began to feel heavier. I've never seen 'it' but I knew one day I would have to.

I grab my bat and gribbed it tightly. As if on cue my little sister started screaming. It's tallens or nails scrapped the wall. I then jumped out my room.

But nothing is there but the scratches. I threw the bat which I held back into my room. I run to my sisters room and push the door open.

She had tears in her eyes and they dripped down her face, she shakes with fear uncontrollably. I sat on her bed and pulled her into my arms. I stroked her head and whispered.

"Everythings ok, nothing happened it was just a bad dream".

She calmed down but she still was shaken up. Nina then said.

"I just want them to end."

"You know you can tell me right?" I questioned.

She looks up at me, she had fear in her eyes. I wish I could take her nightmares away but she can't know my secret.

I could read every thought in her head, her head was so easy to read. I knew exactly what she Dreamt...every night...ever since it started.

Since the day we buried our parents the nightmares began. The first night it happened I sensed danger, I woke and I couldn't control my powers, they became unstoppable. I could usually control them, but that night they went crazy and I blacked out. I woke seeing blood that wasn't my own.

I just had a mild scratch but it was already healing. I heard my sister scream and I ran to her room...I saw her nightmare, the darkness and terrible vision. I learned that this would happen every night.

I snapped my finger and the house went back in order. Making the scrates on the walls and the blood go away. The creature never stopped bleeding after the first night.

My sister took a deep sigh and she told me her nightmare, and it always brought the same chill. The way she spoke the way she held her fears in. The way she tries to be strong when she tells me her vision...
