Chapter 24 - CHAPTER 24 SCHEME

Finally they both agreed on a common ground. The young boss agreed to give the man his dagger for the fight, though, the inhibition on the dagger would not be removed until the man fulfill his request. So in this way, the bandit wouldn't be able to run away with the dagger or it will explode after being some certain distance away. And should the young boss renegade on his promise, the bandit would make sure the dagger leave the save distance. So it would be a lose lose situation.

"so what's the plan." the man, now pleased at himself for getting such a good benefit, became proactive and wished to know more of what's going on in the young man's mind.

The young boss gave out chuckle, his eyes let out a cold shine, feeling quite pleased at gaining a strong follower and also ready to reveal his master plan. "you don't have to do anything. Just keep doing as you would and make everyone assume you are neutral. Turin would most likely wish to buy you to his side, after all his group his weaker than mine."

The young boss stoped. He wanted to keep the man in a bit if suspense, after all this is the plan he had thought of for so long. If he just said everything at once it wouldn't sit well with him.

Though the bandit can now be considered as working for Barnuld, he didn't accede to all his wish and whims. Instead of being extremely curios at barnuld's plan, he just kept silent. The bandit was extremely sure that the young boss would tell the bandit by himself.

True to the bandit's thought, the young boss grumbled for a bit then continue explaining his master plan. "when he comes to you, reject him. He will surely come back later and give you some benefits. Then you will accept his request, but let him know that you wouldn't have any hand in the fight, you will only give him Intels to him. Surely you must know the Intels must be misleading."

The young boss put a stop again, but this time, it was to catch his breath. "Then when we are close to whiteriver city, tell him there are some people in my group dissatisfied with me, but they dare not leave openly, so they wish to cross over to his side, but fearing retaliation from me, it has to be in secret. Surely, turin would go there with his trusted aid. He needs more followers to triumph against me, and he isn't sure if I have any spy in his place so only his trusted followers will follow him. There, we will kill him and his trusted men while delivering minimum damage to the group as a whole."

Garen couldn't help but chuckle soundlessly. He was finally sure of what the young boss was after. After killing turin and his die hard followers, the rest who were dissatisfied would have no power nor dare go against him, after all planning to kill the son of their boss could lead them to their grave, so barnuld would be able to push the death of the glovas and the other bandits on turin's head. A dead man can't argue and he would have no choice but to take the grievance to his grave.

The bandit must have thought of the same thing as him. "good...good.. Hehehehe you are truly the boss son. Such a nice scheme killing two birds with a single stone. But though your scheme is good on paper, don't you think there are a lot of holes in it?." the bandit burst in laughter, and asked the question Garen so wishes to ask.

If turin didn't seek this man's help, if he feels like he overestimate himself and thought he could take it on by himself. If he disdained against the so called "traitors" and didn't meet up with them, or if he becomes suspicious and go with all his group after all, why will they just wish to become turncoats for no reason. And finally, what if turin is just making mouth, if deep down, he his a coward, how will the young boss fulfill his plan if passing his mistake to others.

Barnuld must have been aware of the hikes in his plans and he let out an awkward chuckle. "I agree, there are alot in my plan that is based on luck, but that is what I could come up with in such a short time. We're only four days away from whiteriver city, surely you won't expect me to come up with a sure kill plan. I am no grandmaster strategist, nor the supreme marshal Durservell kollin. This is the best I can come up with."

The bandit let the holes in the young boss plan slide. His job is very simple, mislead turin if he comes to him and deal the final blow. And if he doesn't, well he had won a free enchanted weapon.

Alas, there is still some things left for then to finalise. He knows that olauf once crossed the young boss before they left the outpost. He has to ask the young boss if he will also want to deal with olauf. If yes, then their deal has to be dropped. Even with the enchanted weapon, he isn't sure if he could win against olauf. He loves money, but he feels his life is too precious for a measly reward like an enchanted weapon worth only 5000rollins.

"young boss, are you also going to deal with olauf?" Garen held his breath at this question. The young boss seem to be a vengeful person, and if he wish to deal with olauf, surely he will also deal with him.

"no." the young boss gave a negative reply. Though he seem to regret not being able to kill him. "olauf might be too strong for both of us. Also, he his trusted by my father. My father won't be pleased at his death."

The bandit let out a sigh of relief. At least, the young boss didn't overestimate himself.

But the young boss haven't finished. "as for that young bastard, if we have the chance we must make sure he doesn't see the light if another day."
