Chapter 111 - End... and... an apology....

Sigh...

Above all, this is meant as an APOLOGY... however, there are few things i have to say beforehand.

when i first started posting this novel on this site, i was under the impression that web-novel can protect it, or at least keep an eye open... unfortunately, this wasn't the case...

Now, the reason behind me writing this novel in the first place was because that i couldn't afford to read all of my favorite novels on the site, so, i decided to write my own, so that other (free) readers like me can enjoy it, and to pass time as well. I mean, for god's sake, the novels that i really like barely gets any update, while the ones that i don't particularly like gets like... a lot.

In any case, i have put a lot of effort into planing this novel, and although it might not mean a lot to a lot of people... but it does to me, deeply.

So, it was no small setback to see other sites publishing and monetizing this novel without as much as bothering to ask me, or even notify me at least.... In fact, some are translating this novel to their native languages, monetizing it(probably), and taking credit for writing it... i mean, for crying out loud, if you're going to take someone else efforts, at least put some on your end, after all, the fellow like only changed the Mcs name to Ram, or Rama, and didn't even bother to change the novel's name...! Man, how lazy is that!

Anyway, what pains me even more... is that fact i have introduced a lot of inexplicable event, whether minor, or major, and lot of foreshadowing, and i can never have the chance to explain them.

Actually, this novel was not meant to be a system novel. I mean, there is like tones of them outside, and fellow readers do not need me to introduce yet another one into the overly saturated market.

More ever, i personally like the novels where the MC doesn't just become op right off the bat... because, in my experience of reading many novels; most MCs that doesn't go through personal growth and gain unstoppable powers right from the get go without having to work for them... usually ends up being either a psychopathic killers that kill for the tiniest or most pathetic reasons or an edgy MCs with childish personalities and a truck load of useless, leeching harem members.

Sigh... the setback demolished my morale, and i have yet to drive my MC into becoming the protagonist I've imagined, or progress the story to the point i wanted. Just when the main plot started unfolding, this happened.

In some other novels, many Mc power related tropes have been done a lot(of course, i'm not saying here that my novel is cliche free in other aspects), like an Mc who has a devastating strength that he can level a mountain with a punch, or an Mc who has speed so fast that it is faster than teleportation, or an Mc who can shoot a laser beam powerful enough to raze a village....

I wanted to write an Mc with a unique power, an Mc who doesn't show off, doesn't face slap others, i wanted to write an Mc who paves a path to the peak with a type of power unique to himself, something that others can't comprehend(which is why i named the novel soul mage), a power that enables him to dominate opponents much stronger and faster than him... an Mc with a power that exceeds the established common sense in the world of the story.

The bloodline was meant to be a secondary matter that helps the Mc to stay alive long enough for him to pursue the goal, while the soul path was to be the main path for the protagonist. The last vision the Mc saw with the wind mage back in the compound was meant to become the main trigger and a turning point that propels the Mc into a mysterious path of power that shoots him up to the peak.

the slow pace of the story was due to the Mc not understanding his power. Once he did(which was to happen at chapters 121-122), the pace was to pick itself up.

Sigh... after knowing about the other sites, i felt elated for like few hours, i mean com'on, what kind of newbie writer wouldn't feel happy knowing that others deemed his novel 'steal worthy!'

Next, the inevitable feeling of dejection followed, ruining and withering my excitement, and worse... my morale to continue writing....

when i think of those who invested spirit stones, or commented, i feel endlessly apologetic to you.

truth be told, you are the reason why i have kept on writing so far, this is the truth!!!

However, unfortunately, my mental fortitude wasn't as powerful as I've hoped for it to be, apparently, this setback was too impactful on me to swallow. So, even though my goal of writing this novel was for others to enjoy reading for free... but, i have spent thousands of hours writing and editing (keep in mind that i'm not a native English speaker, so the hardship is multiplied on me) on this novel, I've suffered a lot of back pain due endless session of writing... and to see others profiting off my efforts in this rude way, well... yea, this evidently is too much for me to accept....

DragonWhoWaddles1 (such proud name), Huako, saintWildmonkey, HidzukeDate, Tiagonunes, TiagoRits, Akunde, epece91, epece1791, achrafalloul, Raidan12, Raidan11, shshshibsa, Sofieann and all of the others; I'm sorry... i don't like disappointing others, and certainly not those whom have always been supportive to a nobody such as me.

Again, I'm sorry fellas... *sighs deeply*
