The whole room was covered in snow and ice as little Abidemi hid her face in her knees.
Some of her braids were black while some were white. She sobbed on the sofa as she hugged a stuffed cat toy. One of her blue eyes was whitish as she nuzzled against the kitty.
There was a shield around but it wasn't made of ice. Instead, it looked like it was made of water, it frosted lightly as the little girl sniffled.
'Why isn't he coming?' little Abidemi thought as she hugged the bunny tighter. She looked up from her knees as she noticed the servants who were watching her through the door. 'Doesn't he want to see me?'
It's been a week since her mother died. Her father was avoiding her for some reason. He didn't want to see her at all.
Her mother said that her father was a good man. And she believed her.
Her Daddy may do some things she doesn't like but he was still her daddy. He still was nice to her.
Most of the time.
