The Admiral, the doctor and the super-soldier made their way to the cell where the traitor was being held. Closing in on the area where the holding cells were situated voices could be heard, alongside noises which they could only assume were the soldiers torturing the traitor for information. The closer they got the louder the voices and noises became.
"THUD!"
"TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW!"
"THUD!"
"SPEAK TRAITOR!"
"BANG!!"
"SPEAK TRAITOR OR THIS IS GOING TO GET ALOT WORSE!"
"...."
"STILL NO ANSWER HUH? I'M GUESSING YOU WON'T BE NEEDING YOUR HANDS THEN!"
"CRUNCH!!!!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
"WILL YOU TALK NOW TRAITOR!!!!"
Before it got any worse Eddie and Jason raced into the room.
"Stand down soldiers!" Jason commanded.
The soldiers appeared to stare right through him, looks of complete derision crept on their faces. before continuing doing what they were.
"I said stand down soldiers!!!" Jason roared but unlike before, this time he was ignored.
Jason didn't know what to do. His own soldiers were ignoring his command, now normally this would make him mad and in a normal situation he would have them court marshaled for ignoring his orders but he couldn't find it in him to do either.
These soldiers had just lost friends and brothers in a battle that should never have happened and to make matters worse, they were unprepared for the battle. Jason could understand because he himself was pissed off but letting emotions cloud your judgment in a situation like this was the worse thing to do. You could end up killing the subject of your interrogation and potentially losing important information. So Jason gave it one last try.
"Soldiers stand down. I understand why you're doing this but if you keep this up you'll end up killing him and losing any information we could use."
Once again he was ignored.
Only now had Dino walked into the room, cold indifference filled his face.
"I do believe the Admiral gave you orders soldiers." As he spoke the air seemed to freeze.
Hearing Dino's voice they quickly came to attention and saluted him, showing the respect and fear they held for him. After experiencing Dino killing intent they knew better than to think of him as an ordinary child.
"SIR!!!!!!"
"At ease soldiers." Dino gave a nod and the soldiers relaxed.
Eddie and Jason were gobsmacked by what they had just seen. The soldiers who were previously uncontrollable were now standing to attention waiting for their orders.
Jason saw Dino look toward him and a nod was exchanged between them. It was his turn to take over the interrogation and he WOULD get answers to his questions.
Stepping forward, face as cold as winter. Jason stared down at the traitor; who felt a shiver run down his spine. Trying to avoid Jason's stare he glanced over his shoulder, only to meet Dino's unempathetic eyes. His soul grew cold staring into those eyes was like looking straight into the abyss. The more he stared, the more fear he felt. There was something off about the eyes; something he'd only seen in one other person and that scared him.
"Who do you work for?" Jason held no emotion in his tone.
"...."
"Why did you attack?"
"...."
"Who ordered the attack?"
Again no answer came.
"You're really starting to test my patience...." A growl could be heard in Jason's voice.
"...maybe I should just hand you back to the soldiers and let them do this....." At that, the soldiers perked up, while Jason observed the traitors reaction but much like before he showed nothing. He decided to play his wild card.
"....or maybe I should let Dino deal with you..." The traitor's eyes widened, fear apparent. A predatory smirk appeared on Dino's face, causing a shiver to run down the spines of everyone in the room.
"NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T! LET! THAT! MONSTER! anywhere near me. PLEASE, I BEG YOU I'll tell you everything you want to know. Just keep HIM away from me." The traitor broke down. He cried and begged for Jason to keep Dino away from him. This shocked both Jason and Eddie as they had no idea how Dino had inspired so much fear into the traitor. What they found even weirder was that the soldiers just stood there like it was all perfectly normal.
"Hmm...." Jason pretended to hesitate and think it over.
"You'll tell me everything I want to know?"
"YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Screamed the traitor.
"....Fine, tell me everything and he won't get involved." Jason couldn't help but smirk.
The traitor nodded enthusiastically.
"Who do you work for?" Asked Jason.
"Jormungandr." Hearing the name, every in the room with the exception of Dino, froze.
"What did you just say?" Jason asked nervously.
"Jormungandr."
"The world eaters?"
The traitor nodded.
"Why did you attack?" Asked Eddie
"The bosses wanted the research you were working on." Eddie nodded at the answer, as they had already guessed the reason behind the attack.
"Did you gain any of our research?" It was Jason's turn to ask a question.
"No, we couldn't find where it was stored and before we got a chance to complete the search, someone began taking our men out." He assured them in a slightly agitated tone. Both men nodded, knowing it was Dino who had destroyed their men inside the facility.
"Who ordered the attack?" It was one of the final questions but possibly one of the most important.
The traitor hesitated before speaking. He spoke quietly.
"It was her."
"Who?" Questioned Jason.
"It was... the boss."
When the words left his mouth the temperature in the room dropped rapidly as if a curse had just been released.
Eddie and Jason shared a look. A look of trepidation appeared and disappeared just as quickly in their eyes.
The interrogation continued for at least an hour more. They gained whereabouts of some of Jormungandr's bases and weapon caches. With the information, they had obtained it was enough to cause major damage to their operations on Terra and if they were lucky, they would be able to completely shut Jormungandr's operations on Terra down. However, Jormungandr were called the world eaters for a reason. They were powerful and not just on Terra. Their power spanned most of the universe, only a few galaxies were powerful enough to fight them to a standstill. So stopping them on Terra was but a small victory, but a victory none the less.
