Vol 1: Ch 35 - This Weekend?
After Rei telling it directly to them, Mei suddenly laughs and said: "You know Sis, you're really a boring one, without telling it in a very suspense way but instead you tell it directly without pausing, you know."
"Well sorry for being one Mei"
"So when are you going to leave?" asked again without bothering to look at the itinerary given by Rei and just put it on the center table."
"Next weekend Mei"
The kids only heard weekend since they're still watching Frozen "eh, this weekend Auntie Rei?"
"No kids, Auntie will leave next weekend"
As being the elder one, Ken turns off the TV and all of them are now paying attention to Rei.
"But....."
"Shhh... Let Auntie finish first Ken" he nodded and Rei continued "this weekend will be the last day and one month after they talk about my promotion which is also the due day of my decision, so they give me another week to prepare for all necessary needed of mine. Wednesday is the last day of my work there and so after that day will be my farewell party, then the next day my rest day before the day I'm going to leave. Your Auntie, I mean I already requested that I'm going to bring my nieces and nephews to my workplace starting tomorrow until the last day of my work so that we will have more bonding time before I leave. But promise to Auntie that you will behave in my workplace, okay?"
"Yes Auntie"
"Sorry kids Auntie didn't expect that I'm going to leave so soon" Rei expected that she will leave in one month after she agrees and never taught it will be so soon.
"It's alright Auntie and it proves that Auntie is really important from your workplace"
"Thanks, Ken"
"You're Welcome Auntie Rei, but promise us that after you will be settling in S Country and done with your internship please call us when you're on a break, okay?"
"Yes, I promise."
"So..."
"No worries my little boy Ken, your dad, and I will drop you off and pick you up every day since we will visit the shop for checking and inspecting."
"Oh!"
"Mom knows you well my son. So, Rei what time you're going to leave?"
"I still didn't look at my itinerary; I only know when I'm going to leave since the manager said so. Wait, I'm going to look at it first" Rei opens the envelope and looks at what's inside.
"Oh, this is my working Visa, portfolio, itinerary, and travel allowance"
"Sis, let me see your Visa" not minding the travel allowance one because it's not for her and know some company rules and regulations.
"Here it is" she gives her Visa to Mei while looking at her itinerary "My flight is scheduled to depart at 7 am, so I will be in the airport around 3 am."
"Woah, you have an early flight Sis Rei"
"Yeah, that's right Lyn"
"Sis, sis"
"What's wrong Mei?"
"Your visa is no validity date so its means you can work in S Country as long as what you want and whenever you want"
"Eh, but I thought visas have a validity date?"
"Yeah it is but this Visa of yours means your company has a stronger connection in both government and business. As expected from CA International and Group Company."
"Oh!" no comment from them because Mei, En, Lyn, and El also have a Visa with no validity date for their working visa but they decide to resign except En to stop working overseas because they miss their sister and mother that much but they arrive the moment Rei is going to work abroad and they know it's her time to pursue her future and that's why they support her and not planning to stop her.
"So all of us here we're going to drop you off at the airport during that day. So kids are you also going to drop off your Auntie?" They nodded "okay that settled and for now let's not waste our time bonding with your Auntie then after all she will away next weekend."
They watch another movie before going to their own room. Again, the kids are sleeping beside their Auntie without chatting and just feel the presence of their Auntie because they know for sure that they will miss it when their Auntie is already in S Country.
On the next day, Rei wakes up first and prepares for their breakfast. After preparing, everyone is starting to wake up one by one, the kids are already taking a bath and almost done. When everyone has done preparing for themselves, they eat, some are cleaning the table and some are washing the dishes while the kids are waiting for Rei, Mei, En, and Lyn. El already leaves using his car and on the way to his workplace.
"Let's go kids, Ma be careful and contact us if something's wrong"
"I know Rei and all of you be careful"
They leave and now on the way to Rei's workplace and will arrive sooner; Mei is the one driving the van while her husband seating beside her.
"Mei, just drop us around the corner in my workplace"
"Okay" then Mei drops them near her workplace. "We're here Sis and kids behave while your Auntie is working, alright."
"We know Mom/Auntie Mei and bye-bye"
After making sure that they only a meter distance near the entrance of the building, Mei turning opposite and stop at where their shop is.
On the other side, as usual, Rei arrives 30 minutes before the working hours and to her surprise, her co-workers are already in the office and stop what they're talking about.
All of them ask Rei in surprise
"Ms. Rei, is that your kids?"
