The screen shimmered once again, before slowly fading into the white space. With unease and anger surging through her soul, Liu Aili stared into the expansive white emptiness for a brief moment. She couldn't cry in her soul form; she was glad that she couldn't. Aili knew that if she stopped to dwell on how she was feeling, she wouldn't be able to function... just like that s**tty system!!
Shifting her attention back to the old hag who seemed to be the system's curator, Aili considered the woman in more detail.
That woman's eyes held a chilliness that seemed to disdain the world and those living in it. Before Aili could ponder the abrupt disappearance of the woman any longer, the system chimed a notification.

In front of her, another screen rose. It was covered in microscopic words in all varieties of legalese. Yet before Liu Aili could even open her mouth to ask the System to zoom in, the System dinged again.
[Terms and Conditions auto-accepted. Congratulations, Host.]
[Please prepare yourself while I initiate your transmission.
[Transmission pending ... ... acceptance successful.
[Thank you, please enjoy your trip.]
WTF!? Didn't she even get an explanation of what was going on? This communication system's communication sucks! Can This Lady please get a refund?!
After that thought, her consciousness faded.

"Hey, you're here. Are you gonna get out?" A raspy smoker's voice sounded out from in front of her.
Opening her eyes to the stranger's voice, Liu Aili scowled. She was in the backseat of a cab.
"Are you gonna get out or what?" The cab driver's voice started to sound irritated.
"Sorry," Aili responded. This d*mn system just dropped her in the middle of a world without any explanation at all?! Where was her Beginner's package? Where was her cheat? How was she even supposed to access the system?!
First, she needed to gather her thoughts. She was probably in somebody else's body. It definitely wasn't her own. The hands were smaller and more tender than her own. This body's hair was luxuriously long, falling like a waterfall of black silk on the open back of her...dress? Liu Aili didn't usually wear skirts. It was safer to wear pants when going into Professor Cheng's research lab. She had no idea who she was supposed to be or where this body was originally going. What a headache.
"Can you drive around the block just a few more times?" She asked in a sweet voice. She glanced outside. They had pulled up right outside of a fancy hotel and restaurant. Without batting an eye, she lied, "I'm meeting my boyfriend's parents tonight, and I'm a little nervous."
The cabby replied, "Sure thing. As long as you pay."

[Welcoming Host to your first mission of the Transmigrating Animal Communication System. This world is called "Loving My Tyrant CEO." Would you like to look at this body's memories?]
"What is that? Why does it sound like a bad romance novel?" she asked quietly, glancing towards the cabbie in the front. Her voice was flat and tense. Luckily the driver couldn't hear her over the roar of traffic. The streets were congested, so even going around the block once would likely take a good amount of time.
[In order to return to Host's original world, Host must acquire power from alternative worlds. As the selected Emissary of Moral Harmony, Host must prevent worlds from descending into chaos and restore the karmic balance. Once mission is complete, the task world will present a portion of the salvaged world energy. After adequate energy is accumulated, Host will gain ability to return to Host's original body.

[Authors, as creators by profession, actualize a living world through their plot, characters, and setting. However, not all authors are moral or intelligent, thus they can create bad characters and worse worlds. Many of these worlds ultimately descend into chaos and perish, increasing the entropy of the universe. Host, your mission is to stop the world plot from devolving into pandemonium.

"How long will it take?" She whispered, before glancing once again towards the front of the cab. Aili assumed that she was the only one who could hear the system - after all, what kind of System would it be if it made comments everyone could hear? She didn't want the cabbie to think she was a lunatic, though.
[Transferring plot line...]
A sharp pain stabbed deep within her head as a rush of memories flashed through her mind.
F*ck your mom! Getting run over by a truck didn't hurt as much as this did! Her complexion paled. She gritted her teeth and hunched over, barely even daring to breathe.
The body Liu Aili occupied was originally called Shen Daoyun. She was the female lead of this world. Much like the title of the world suggested, it was a stereotypical CEO romance novel. The relationship between Shen Daoyun, a beautiful and intelligent coward, and Jin Yuxuan, an arrogant and frigid CEO, was one rife with cliches.
Secretly in love with one another, Shen Daoyun and Jin Yuxuan met during high school. After being accepted into different universities, a key misunderstanding occurred. Shen Daoyun tried to confess her feelings to Jin Yuxuan, only to be jilted. She waited on tenterhooks in the cafe, waited until the shop closed, but he never appeared. As Shen Daoyun began walking home in the rain, her best friend Wang Zhaotian arrived and comforted her broken heart while carefully shielding her from the rain. (Liu Aili snorted. Of course it was raining.)
Jin Yuxuan had never arrived to the coffee shop because his little sister had gotten into an accident. After rushing her to the hospital, he had sprinted towards the cafe, desperately hoping that somehow Shen Daoyun would be waiting for him. He ran to until his lungs were on fire, only to see Wang Zhaotian and Shen Daoyun cozily sharing a single umbrella. He left without speaking to her, his heart filled with disappointment and bitterness.
After Jin Yuxuan graduated from university, he successfully launched a new technology company, STEM Systems. Quickly growing successful, it continued to expand. While hosting a meeting in a grand hotel to woo potential investors, he reunited with Shen Daoyun in a stroke of fate. (More like a stroke of ape-sh*t.)
Shen Daoyun was down on her luck; despite graduating with honors, companies hesitated to hire her. Meeting up with some old classmates for a meal, the restaurant was coincidentally in the same hotel as Jin Yuxuann's meeting. Drugged by her old classmates who wanted to *pa pa pa* the high school beauty queen, Shen Daoyun stumbed around the hotel trying to escape when she was cornered by a powerful investor. She was rescued from the clutches of the evildoer by Jin Yuxuan, who recognized her immediately, and impulsively brought her into a hotel room to *cough* experience the scenes of spring. Several times.
The next morning, Jin Yuxuan took responsibility and proposed a contractual marriage agreement. Despite knowing her drugged state, he felt disgust towards her forward behavior and condemned her lack of control.
Shen Daoyun, with her soft personality, was deeply hurt by his words. Misunderstandings piled up one after another, and eventually Shen Daoyun realized she was pregnant. He harshly questioned her over whether it was actually his child. This was the final blow; she ran away from their contractual marriage to seek refuge with Wang Zhaotian. Enraged, Jin Yuxuan broke into Wang Zhaotian's house to force her back, and exploded into a violent argument with Shen Daoyun.
During this argument, Shen Daoyun almost had a miscarriage. As a result, Jin Yuxuan abandoned his company especially to care for Shen Daoyun. Of course, she felt much more like a prison inmate than a beloved wife.
The original Shen Daoyun felt like a criminal because of her pregnancy, locked inside the house by Jin Yuxuan, and watched day after day. The original feelings of love and desire she held towards Jin Yuxuan morphed into chains she could not escape. Eventually, Shen Daoyun went half-crazy. Exhausted from house-arrest, Shen Daoyun's strained state induced an early labor. Both she and her child died, leaving Jin Yuxuan devastated and alone, wasting away from heartbreak.
The System chimed once again.
