Laz didn't know how he got here. In fact, his brain wasn't really processing anything at the moment. When he had left his twelve stars, they all had warned him to not be getting any more girls, not because they were jealous, but because they knew that he would never be able to give them any type of relationship.
To them, it wasn't fair of him to give them hope.
And that wasn't them being greedy or mean-spirited, that was them knowing the state of Laz's heart and mind and understanding how he worked even better than he himself knew. Once those twelve spots were filled, there would be little to no room left for others, except maybe family which was a core feature of the heart, at least as far as feelings go.
'Isn't the core feature of a heart muscle?' Laz had asked, to which he had gotten some interesting glares from the ones he loved the most.
